I got surgery to smell for the first time

This fellow has never been able to smell. At age 12, he started to use his dad's cologne because he was worried he might smell bad. He had surgery on his nose and is now able to smell. This is his olfactory journey.

There is a research group at University of Pennsylvania that does work on olfactory abilities. According to their publications, apparently people with a limited sense of smell are significantly more likely to develop symptoms of depression.
