... Hi, @snarlsafety ! If you have a chance to get your hands on Panpuri where you live, I highly recommend "Eternal Sunshine / อีเทอร์นอล ซันชายน์ | Pañpuri" (citrus and basil freshie) and "Andaman Sails / อันดามัน เซลส์ | Pañpuri" (green tea marine). Surprised no one has mentioned "Wūlóng Chá (Extrait de Parfum) | Nishane" and its X version. Unisex and long-lasting and intensity varies with how much you apply. A bit sweet, but if you like pistachios with your citrus, "Un Jardin à Cythère (Eau de Toilette) | Hermès" is surprisingly long-lasting for an EDT. "IV-II Ray-Flection | Masque" is also one of those perfumes that I can spray twice in the morning and it keeps going for 8-9 hours.

... Lempi @Akira1005 I completely agree that the number of awards doesn't necessarily tell anything about the quality. There's lots of amazing content in Parfumo that hasn't got the number of awards that they would deserve. Also seems that German content always gets a lot more awards than the content from other countries, probably because the German forum is more active and they're also awarding their friends instead of awarding the actual quality. Almost makes me feel bad I don`t speak German, but then I also appreciate exchanges in a smaller community, instead of the giant, often pointless and aggressive communities I've experienced on some other sites.

Milano Perfume Recommendations

... JSO60 @Raluko111 you never said whether you found anything interesting in Milano. Did you? Hi, @JSO60! How are you? My trip will be at the end of August. I started my research early because my free time is limited (going with my boss), so I need to zoom in and go to the boutiques that have scents I never see at home. Thank you for your suggestions! I hope to write an article in Blogs about my experience, to share my impressions. Rome is so awesome and by now I know exactly where to go to find little hidden gems, but I rarely get to go to Milano.

... Ringtale Most fake accounts show up in the weekends or when Don is away (he told us once if I remember it well). Then the whole forum often gets invaded with fake accounts (always saying 'new user') posting messages containing links (spam!). Very annoying ! You mean those weird links and posts that show up in Forum? Those are certainly annoying, but the accounts I`m referring to don`t appear as `New User.`

... Ezroni I personally like that our followers are kept hidden. I don't think that should be a focus of this platform, but then again I'm kind of old-fashioned and don't really care for that sort of thing. 😁 Yes, I agree. It's better balanced to keep it anonymous. Otherwise it might devolve into cliques of people giving awards out of obligation, "you give me one, I give you one, etc". It already kind of is like that. Having said that, if it wasn't anonymous, it might be easier to trace fake accounts or fake followers, awards.

Goutal Heure Exquise versus Chanel 19?

Jomas I own a full bottle of "Heure Exquise | Goutal" and a tiny decant of "N°19 (Eau de Parfum) | Chanel" and I just applied them simultaneously for you, so you don’t have to. 😀 Both are older batches (I bought my bottle in 2019, I guess). They are definitely in the same vein and similar enough, so I think it would be redundant to own both. Now to the differences. Knowing the House of Goutal, one would expect Heure Exquise to be a lighter version of No. 19, but surprisingly it’s not. Actually, the Goutal one is heavier on galbanum, which makes it quite bitter, in the best way possible. It beats me why on earth Parfumo doesn’t list the galbanum note for Heure Exquise. I find the iris to be a bit more distinguishable in "N°19 (Eau de Parfum) | Chanel" , while the hyacinth (a touch animalic) dominates in "Heure Exquise | Goutal" . The pleasent bitterness of galbanum is still present in the drydown of Heure Exquise, while the leather note bothers me a bit in No 19. Both are beautiful and timeless, equally opulent and vintige-y. I still prefer my Goutal, but I don’t think I’m very objective, considering that Goutal is still my favourite perfume house of them all. I also prefer the Goutal over No.19. The bitterness of Heure Exquise does make it more approachable, whereas No.19 is too fancy britches for me.

Sometimes, I see some awesome writers, but if they never reply to a comment, I don't really feel comfortable to follow them. Is that weird? It kinda feels like I invade their privacy or something by doing that. Hi, @Gourmandgrl! I think Parfumo is not as strict about AI as we think. I was surprised to see blogs that were most definitely AI generated, but I received a message from an admin that they don't have any policies regarding blog content. Also, I love reading reviews, but I've noticed there are users who pop 100+ reviews all of a sudden and I was curious who they were, so I checked out their page. In only a short amount of time, their follower number went from 20 to 90+. I thought that was really weird. At first I thought they were users like me, who'd moved content from Frag@#%$*a, so a lot of reviews were posted suddenly. But then I started seeing a hard to believe number of daily reviews popping up from these users over and over. So, forgive me, but who smells 20-30 perfumes a day and writes daily reviews? Other users have also noticed accounts like these, I know I'm not the only one. Why does it matter? Because I don't want to be surrounded by fake machine-generated reviews. If AI had a way of analyzing fragrance, it might have been interesting. But it does not. In any case, I really want to read opinions on fragrance from other people, not 0's and 1's.

... I get this creepy feeling that the more reviews one writes, the more it seems like the number of followers increases and it's not all of it real. Who are these 23 people following me? A few, 3 or 4 I know, and they are friends I knew from before Parfumo, a few others are folks I met on here, but I wonder how "real" the rest of the followers are. Anyone else feel that? In these days of bots and fake, AI generated content, I tend to prize authenticity above all else.
