broken atomizer?

broken atomizer? 0

i was spraying my favorite fragrance this morning and after the first 2 sprits, i noticed the atomizer kinda just... gave out. this is a brand new bottle of Bond Street 1972 and it is 3.3 oz/100 ml of liquid, so i'm quite disheartened. i looked at the atomizer itself and it doesn't appear to have any issues, i don't believe it is blocked by anything and it doesn't look crooked or damaged. i'm not entirely sure what to do here, i got the bottle on sale so i can't return it. any suggestions?

… decanting would be the last resort.
Some brands can provide a new atomizer. Replacing the old one will be a whole other issue.
Sorry to hear that 😶

ah, i knew this would be the answer, but i was hoping for some sort of magical solution. i'll email lush today and beg for a new atomizer, but i have NO IDEA how i will get the old one off without absolutely destroying the bottle. this is such a shame, i'll certainly make note of this in the future when i think about purchasing lush perfumes 🙃

I broke the atomizer on one of my JPG Le Males.  It's not the best solution but what I did was purchased some really nice empty glass perfume bottles with excellent atomizers and a funnel from AllBottlesUSA.com, (they also sold the funnels). You can also find them on Amazon. I removed the broken atomizer and basically poured the fragrance into the new glass bottle.  Ironically, the atomizer on the glass bottle is better than the original JPG.  I've also done this with a middle eastern clone I bought because, no offense, the bottle was so hideous I couldn't stand to see it on my shelf.  They can get pretty gaudy.  So now it's in a nice frosted glass bottle with a great atomizer.  Again, I know it's not the same as the OG bottle--but at least I can use the fragrances.  And yes, it was very difficult to remove the atomizers.  I basically destroyed it.  But I was still able to pour the contents in the new bottle with the funnel.  Good luck!

thanks for the tip! i was looking at bottles today, and since Bond Street 1972 is such an insanely green fragrance, i decided to purchase a lovely green ombre bottle. i hope the atomizer is nice! im okay with destroying the old atomizer and bottle as long as i have a replacement and i don't spill any of the fragrance. i've never thought about rebottling ugly fragrances, but i have a few i cant stand to look at. thanks for the tip!
