Perfume Recommendation for a Bride

Perfume Recommendation for a Bride 0

Hi folks, first time posting here and it's an important one! My fiancée asked me for advice to search for an unique fragrance for our wedding.

We agreed on buying something special for each of us that we will wear for the first time on our wedding day, that way we will always remember that smell. I think I can handle my own research as I have a more common profile and I already know which perfumes I love but she's a bit lost on this regard.

Her description was: "I want to smell like a ballet dancer, white magic, a white swan". I know, it's a bit tricky. Specially because I'm looking for something in the niche world, something truly unique. At the same time, I'm personally a fan of long-lasting perfumes with a strong sillage, I know she'll want to be noticed too, which makes the search a bit harder, as I know most floral, rosey perfumes usually don't last that long.

Stuff we've tried and I know she likes: various perfumes from D'Annam (I think these don't last very long) Dom Rosa from Liquides Imaginaires, she likes the smell on roses on perfumes but I believe it's almost a classic and it's not easy to stand out. I tried Radical Rose from Matiere Perfumes, it's incredible but it's more masculine. She also enjoyed Imperial Tuberose from BDK Parfums.

As a summary, and sorry for the long post: we're looking for something unique, mysterious, feminine, leaning into the floral notes, but open to something that fits the description and feels unique.

Thank you!

First of all, congratulations to you both! 🤍 It's such a lovely idea that the first time you would smell the fragrances on each other would be on your wedding day. My husband wore a layering combination of Soprano and Onyx on our wedding day, and both of those are amazing super strong and long lasting rose fragrances, either on their own or together layered. Our wedding was on Valentine's Day so our theme was roses. However I'm not sure if I would associate roses to ballet dancers or white magic and if she would be disappointed when the bottles aren't white. But if you're just looking for a niche unique long lasting strong rose fragrance that is perfect for wedding, then both of those do tick all those boxes.
