Should layered perfumes count as

Currently, when you layer two perfumes, only the primary fragrance is tracked as "worn" in your statistics. The layered perfume is recorded but doesn't count toward your worn stats.

We're considering changing this - but want your input first:

Option A: Count as fully worn - The layered perfume counts everywhere: worn counter, top fragrances, most worn, brand stats, etc. Basically treated the same as the primary spray.

Option B: Count toward bottle usage only - The layered perfume increments your "worn X times" counter on that perfume, but doesn't appear in your top fragrances or other stats.

Option C: Keep as is - Layering stays as info only, no impact on stats.

What makes the most sense to you? 🤪

I admit - I seldom layer. The few times I do, I don't consider which is primary vs. layered. So, I vote for Option A. I can understand that people who are more into layering would consider primary vs. layered fragrance. I'd be satisfied with Option B.

Similarly as @Smirky above, I also don't layer often but I voted for A.

For me layering is indeed a combination of two fragrances equally and I don't think the other fragrance is "primary" so I would love them both to be counted in the stats, and also I think they should both appear on your profile page when wearing a layering combo.

Both perfumes should count as fully worn. I look at "Recently Worn" and "Often Worn" to decide which fragrances need to be rotated in. It's important to me not to neglect anything. I find it confusing that I may have worn "Fragrance X" 4 times in one week, but it shows as 0 for the year because I may have only used it to layer. I actually have some perfumes in my collection that I only ever layer with another, so these will always be displayed as not worn and I have to go back to the tracker to make sure I'm not crazy. 

I say option A! I’ve been doing this manually by adding each separately and then adding the layered fragrance to both. However, this gets more complicated when I try tribrids, because typically it does not allow me to add more than one layered fragrance. And admittedly, it’s really tedious to do so. I do want the fragrance to count, reflected within the statistics that I get.

On another note, it would be a really cool feature to have a dedicated Layering tab that documents statistics on layering combos, ranked similarly from most worn to least worn, how many times you’ve worn it, etc.

I don't know it that is possible but I think what would make it most informative would be if one could, when using the tracker, use two options:

What are you wearing - search perfume - and then (optional) Layerd with - search perfume.

So that ones combo may appear in the often to seldom worn feature as well.

I’m late to this, but I would also love to see “A” implemented. As it is, I have to manually respray again with the layered fragrance just in order to have both fragrance get counted for a wear.

I do layering all the time. Would love to see a way to track a layer.  So option A for me, as two separate items blend to create their own personality.

Yes, I would count layered perfumes, especially if the combination creates a signature scent that you enjoy wearing. Many people layer fragrances to make something that feels different from what everyone else is using.
