Guess that scent. A game: 0
You guess the scent based on a few clues posted by the previous poster. Then you post your own clues for the next scent to be guessed. But no new clues can be described until the previous one was correctly guessed, so the person who leaves the clues needs to check on the thread and either give the ok or disclose the scent if it is still not guessed after 10 posts.

I'll start:

It's an amber scent that mimicks expensive niche fragrances but is so cheap you can get it in most healthfood stores for under 10 bucks.

What is it?

I believe that you have described Pacifica "Spanish Amber"!

I love this game! Thank you for beginning this thread, LiliumLibido! Laughing

A facebook friend of mine once mentioned that the scents of Guerlain "Shalimar" and "L'Heure Bleue" waft about American retirement homes (where she used to work), and so she cannot think of one with thinking of the other.

In Germany, the omni-scent at retirement homes is most likely to be which fragrance?

Echt Kolnisch Wasser

That would be my pick, but it almost seems too easy.

It is well know that Marlene Dietrich wore Tabac Blonde by Caron, but loved this scent too. What other scent did Dietrich wear that seem to support her tuxedo clad act as Amy Jolly in the 1930 film Morocco. This famous scent was the creation of a 19th century haberdashery.
0
I have no idea. I've read that she wore Tabac Blonde, Angélique Encens and a Lucien Lelong perfume, the name of which escapes me. None of those seem to fit your clue.
0
Is no one but Cryptic even going to try on this one?

I think that I was tripped up by "haberdashery". Rolling Eyes

I just read one of my Creed boxes. Yes, they were tailors, too! So I vote for "Angélique Encens"!
