...ProudwingI haven't had any horrible experiences myself as I never really talked to anyone. (I've heard of the rampant homophobia and transphobia though, yikes.) The main reason I left is that the UI here is so much cleaner and more intuitive. It feels like the 90's on Fragrantica and not in a good way. The fact that the owners are anti-vaxxers is another nail in the coffin.Hi Proudwing, I’ve always thought the same thing about Fragrantica’s UI! It’s so wonky and user-unfriendly (likely done on purpose no doubt). And yeah, the whole anti-vax, anti-climate crisis had long been huge turn-offs for me. The hate speech towards the LGBTQ+ community and allies was my final nail in the coffin.

Parfumo seems like a much more welcoming place too. I'm happy to see Non-Binary as a Gender option. AND there's explicit anti-discrimination language in the Community Rules specifically including sexuality and gender.Hi Arcenciel! I am glad to see you here! Like you, I'm pleased to see the non-binary option here. As a straight cisgender woman I was sickened by the comments under Patric's wonderful article. My downvotes for all the hate speech kept getting removed. I've only been on Parfumo a few days and already really like it here! 🥰

...I'm 61 years old and in all my life thus far, I've never received a comment from anyone about the perfume I'm wearing. And I wouldn't call myself a light sprayer. I figure at 61 and a woman (short and fat), I've become pretty invisible to most of society, so that tells me I can wear whatever I want and as much as I want. Liberating! 😁

...For the price and quality, I love Tea Rose by Perfumer's Workshop. It packs a punch with (to me) such a realistic rose scent and it has solid longevity. And for years I've also loved Ombre Rose, which I have in L'Original EDT and a vintage parfum in the black opaque bottle). I am attached to powdery scents (powder power!). I have 4ml sample of Guerlain Rose Cherie, which is touched with a bit of violet and since I'm currently going through a violet craze, I find Rose Cherie my cup of (rose) tea. ❤️🌹

...When I was a child, my now 90 year old mother wore Madame Rochas and Ma Griffe (1960s-'80s/'90s). For several years, she's been wearing Lancôme Miracle. About a year ago, I gifted her a vintage MR edt and a vintage MG edc. She still keeps wearing Miracle (me no likey!) and when I remind her that she has the MR and MG, she tells me she wants to finish off the bottle of Miracle. I let her know that she's not getting any younger 😅 and to wear some of the MR or MG before it's too late...(You're 90 mom!).

...I've recently been getting into violet fragrances and have purchased Yardley April Violets (old version), Violettes de Toulouse, and Violetas Francesas. The Yardley is the only that lasts beyond about an hour and even it barely gets past that one-hour mark. But they all smell so lovely that I don't really mind. They're all nice to wear just after a shower. For a big, strong violet I'll usually wear Insolence (old version in flying saucer bottle).
