Check out Lovesick Witchery specifically ***Halloween '97*** Notes of sour apple bubblegum, latex masks, plastic knives, conditioned air, display fog machine smoke, and polyester cloaks. ***Halloween Night*** Notes of candy corn, clove cigarettes, velvet caramel, palo santo, fallen leaves, coumarin, egyptian musk, and two dark patchoulis. ... Aspasia0 First and foremost, the most important link should be to our guidelines. There you can read how to format, what to consider for each field in the form, what is important for sources and so on. https://www.parfumo.com/fdb_kn. .. I can’t believe I forgot the most important one - it’s been added. I’ve had trouble re-finding the notes directory and translator before, so I was focused on those. Thank you!

... These are some links I've found helpful for research purposes. Please feel free to leave others you've found helpful and reliable as well, for I know my list is very short! Parfumo Tools Knowledge Base Fragrance Notes Translator Fragrance Notes Directory Press Release Sources Byrdie Perfumer & Release Year Sources - note that Facebook is easier to search Robertet Instagram Robertet Facebook Givaudan Instagram Givaudan Facebook DSM-Firmenich Instagram DSM-Firmenich Facebook Puig Instagram IFF Instagram Mane Instagram Von Maur Fragrance Foundation UK Facebook Source Best(?) Practices - Add a red box around the information - use tags! - Note reliable sources and formatting from Research Team members when they have proposals and revisions in process. > I reference Frankie, Aspasia0, Segel, Aqua99, Chizza, and anyone else listed here . - If there's not a tag for what you need use brackets to create a custom tag. For example, if you believe Lemon Musk needs to be added to the note directory and want the research team to see what you're referencing, type [New Note] in the box.

What’s your rating system?
ssydlo
|
Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
... So interesting! I’ve discovered so many that I try fall between meh and like but not love. I used to not give much below a 7 rating because I could see how others like it, but once I laid it out systematically it made my objective rating much easier.

What’s your rating system?
ssydlo
|
Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
... How do you determine what to rate a perfume’s scent? Do you take others into consideration or rate based on your opinion alone How about sillage, longevity, bottle design, etc? This is my scent rating system that has been working well for now, and I rate according to my opinion only • 1-2.5 stars – horrible, hate it, get this off my skin! It’s a scrubber. • 3 - 4.5 stars – Not disgusting but below average; off-putting but not horrible. • 5-6.5 – It’s smells averagely good, but doesn’t impress me or warrant buying. • 7 - 8.5 – I like it quite a lot and can see myself wearing it regularly. Might purchase a mini or decant and revisit. • 9-10 stars – It’s a love and must have for me.

Unisex vs Feminine vs Masculine
ssydlo
|
Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
... What do you use these terms for, and do you often consult the pie charts to see how others have described a fragrance? Are there better, less antiquated ways to describe this in your opinion? I’ve never had a perfume ask for ID verification so everything is truly unisex, but our associations may not be.

How do you all use your perfume decants and samples?
ssydlo
|
Perfume Discussions
... I’ve started building up a little (read: massive) stash of samples and decants and I’m curious how everyone else handles theirs. Do you try to use them up before buying full bottles? Only use ones you’re on the fence about? Rotate them like part of your regular collection? Do you ever declutter them—and if so, when? Is it when you know you don’t like something, or do you sometimes declutter before they’re done so someone else can try it? I’d love to hear your “sample/decant strategy,” if you have one and what you do with the decluttered ones. I’ve been considering printing off little accord pyramids with the bottle showing for each and putting it with the sample in a tiny plastic baggie so people at work or family or friends can dig through and find something they might vibe with

Perfume Recommendations
... "Nº23 Honey Milk (Eau de Parfum) | Mix:Bar" might work for your needs - I think Mix Bar’s whole schtick is relatively simple, layerable scents so you could try this layered with stuff you already love. It’s a Jerome Epinette creation for cheap. One of my most trusted YouTubers recently recommended "Honey Oud | BellaVita Luxury" which is around $20 on Amazon.

Oudh Al Anfar & Sub-Brand Clarification
ssydlo
|
Parfumo Research
... I’m working on proposing some fragrances and had a question about how to categorize brands like Oudh Al Anfar. On their website, Oudh Al Anfar lists several sub-brands or lines under their umbrella, including: - Anfar London - Anfar 1950 - Adyan - Ajyad Some fragrances are listed in the database under these sub-brands, while others are just listed as “Oudh Al Anfar.” What’s the best way to handle this for consistency and accuracy? Should: 1) Anfar be listed as a brand under Oudh Al Anfar, with Anfar 1950 and Anfar London as collections or categories? 2) Each sub-brand (e.g., Anfar London, Adyan) be treated as its own distinct brand, with Oudh Al Anfar listed as the parent company? 3) Everything be grouped under Oudh Al Anfar, regardless of sub-brand labeling? Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
