... Lempi SaulGoo I feel like when a man wears a sweet spicy fragrance, it’s usually because he thinks women will love it, when it may be more likely that they’ll notice more complex and unique scent profiles.. I can't speak on behalf of other women, however I personally notice first personal hygiene. If somebody hasn't showered or brushed teeth for 2 weeks, I'm definitely skipping that person no matter how complex or unique fragrance they are wearing. Also I would pay more attention to the other person's personality and interests instead of superficial things like what they're wearing. No matter how much stupid marketing is pushing this narrative, fragrance isn't a solution to attract. Instead fragrance should be for personal enjoyment uplifting your own mood. So if you yourself wear fragrances only for the purpose of attracting women and you don't choose a fragrance based on your own liking and try to choose a "female magnet" instead, please remember everybody is not like you. A man wearing a spicy sweet fragrance might wear that just because he likes it himself and chose it to his own pleasure and couldn't care less what other people think. And I would actually personally choose that man who thinks with his own brain and trusts his own nose instead of thinking that women would be so stupid that they would choose their interest based on a fragrance only. I completely agree

... Dargis SaulGoo I tend to love green, crisp, herbaceous, earthy notes. I hate sweet, powdery, ambery, warm spicy, and boozy notes. Blech. Almost the opposite of me 😂 I wil always be amazed at how people can differently perceive perfumes and scents in general. Hey, I always say “If everyone liked the same thing, it would never be on the shelf when you wanted to buy it.”

... I have three dresser drawers designated for perfume. One for the shorter bottles, one for taller ones, and one for decants/samples/empty boxes and a few sealed backups.

... I don’t like the bro’s that look down on a man who wears unisex fragrances, or ones that may “lean feminine”. If you can pull it off, wear it I say. Gendered perfume is mostly stupid. I also dislike the word “juice” for perfume. Just say perfume.

If your signature scent were a movie character…

... For my beloved Bowling Green by Geoffrey Beene, I have a young Walter Matthau in the film “ A Face in the Crowd” in mind. He’s comfortable around intelligent women, not out to be noticed, dependable, polite, and complex. Freshly shaven, but with an edge that comes from his wit.

... Think about your signature scent. What kind of personality does it have? Of all the movies you’ve seen, which character encapsulates your perfume the best in your opinion, and why?

... From people I don’t know?…Tous 1920 EDP the Origin is the champ in that category. Really different and interesting. Banana Republic Vintage Green is one that NOBODY doesn’t love. My wife has her favorites, but the only “perfect 10” she gives anything in my wardrobe is Agua Brava.
