Princess Peach

A saccharine gourmand balanced - just barely - by tobacco. Overall impression is of a fruity, sweet-tooth popstar fragrance reworked with higher quality ingredients. Upon drydown the florals float along on a fluffy cloud of vanilla which, combined with the rum, is unfortunately rather reminiscent of supermarket style vanilla essence. Eventually a hint of woodiness struggles through.

The "hedonist" here is a spoiled princess in pink tulle and rhinestones, gorging on cupcakes while her doting father watches on.

Pleasant enough, but certainly not worth the price tag. Longevity is middling, settling into a skin scent at around two hours.

I like it very much!

Hedonist grew on me with time. It is an extremely sweet, peachy, boozy scent with subtle hints of tobacco and vanilla, but the tobacco really "makes it". It is a velvety scent and is very luxurious somehow. A bit of spice lingers in the base, but it is hardly noticeable. Really Hedonist is a delicious gourmand for quite some time, but the floral aspect becomes stronger after wearing for a few hours. I smell jasmine in the summertime. This is a very different kind of fruity-floral--not innocent but very alluring.

Moving On

Sharp peach and booze. This could have been so much more beautiful. It is not well blended and not smooth. The word I am reminded of is rancid. It gets worse as it wears. There should be more sugar and polish here. Good bones, poor execution. Forget the price and bottle.

Golden Honey

Delicious smell of ripe apricots and peaches, immersed in a viscous transparent floral honey, flavored with a sweet alcohol drink and a light woodiness in the background. It is very saturated and festive, really smells "expensive" - very appropriate for the opulent party in gold.

Sunshine & Happiness

I was interested in testing a few of Viktoria Minya’s scents because my partners Hungarian and wanted his view, specifically on the Tokaji wine fragrance, but ended up falling in love with this one. Maybe the formula has changed in the last 10 years, because I genuinely don’t get the bad reviews.

Hedonist is a gorgeous, sophisticated, feminine scent. It opens with the boozy rum and peach notes, then transitions into quite a realistic warm honey, followed by the jasmine. For me the Jasmine fades off after the first few minutes and you’re left with a beautiful, light, sweet, honeyed peach and apricot scent. I don’t get any tobacco or other notes. There’s nothing rancid, soapy or cloying about this. It smells very happy and comforting to me, like warm sunshine in a bottle. This is light and easy to wear. It could be worn all year round, in any occasion.

I got my bottle discounted, but at today’s prices for perfumes, the cost was very reasonable for a niche scent. This is also unique to my collection and anything I’ve ever sampled. Stunning!
