It's lovely; it's a blend of gardenia, tuberose, coconut, and vanilla.

It's simple yet beautiful. It has a hint of sunscreen scent. I also detect a subtle salty note in the background that isn't listed in the notes. The gardenia is quite green, almost as if I can smell the stem along with the flower. It's pleasant to encounter a coconut scent that doesn't bring an overwhelming sweetness.

I can see this fragrance being perfect for a summer day at the beach or a casual outdoor gathering. She opens with a potent blend of Tuberose and Gardenia, cooled by refreshing Coconut Milk. These three notes dance in and out, creating a hybrid of white floral and gourmand. After the florals fade, the Vanilla note takes over, reminding me of a French confectionery filled with coconut bonbons, pastel candy almonds and white paper lace. On my skin, the dry down is a soft vanilla candy.

If you're craving a sophisticated white floral with tropical gourmand notes, this is an excellent choice.

Sweettart beachy floral

Le Grand Jeu opens on my skin with an enormous and stunning creamy white floral. Then I get a citric sweet-tart candy sweet that I usually associate with some jasmines, and then eventually a beachy coconut joins the mix. Everything I've tried from Voyages Imaginaires has had such a beautiful, soft, translucent watercolor quality, which makes it feel very different from other beachy white florals like TF Soleil Blanc. The longevity is actually phenomenal considering it's all natural and doesn't have much of a base to anchor into. The sillage is not expansive, but it is diffusive in the way that I'll think it's gone but then find it again, farther from my skin than I expected. Very, very pretty.

Flowery banana shake

When I first sprayed it on, I immediately thought of banana shake, it must be the ylang-ylang. The fragrance is very harmonious, creamy and floral with a beautiful vanilla base. Nothing stings the nose. You can tell that very high-quality ingredients have been used. I think Le Grand Jeu is simply gorgeous, the only drawback is its longevity. I only wear it for about four hours.

An out-of-the-box floral fragrance

If you like floral fragrances away from the mainstream, you should try Le Grand Jeu. It stands out from the crowd and begins with a strong coconut presence.
First the coconut is in focus, then it clears the stage for the gardenia-tuberose duo, but remains there the whole time.

Can a mixture of sun cream and flowers smell good? Oh yes, and how! I sniff my wrist again and again and fill up on self-confidence and good humor. It smells simply wonderful - floral, but not classic. Sweet, but not pungent. Sexy, but not too horny. Unique, but not screaming for attention.

I think the longevity is okay, sillage is good. I used four sprays today and before my husband gets home I might want another one.

Unfortunately, I don't notice the vanilla, which would have rounded off the fragrance nicely if I had only been able to smell it.
