Arts de France 10th Avenue Karl Antony

Arts de France- this round, spherical and fluted bottle with yellow contents came to me a few years ago as part of a bundle. The bundle was cheap and it contained an almost full bottle of Dior's Midnight Poison, for which you now have to dig deep into the purse. Among other things this scent was included here. I can't remember the other scents that were still there. But who likes Midnight Poison must have a good taste! Arts de France is on the bottle. That it is from Karl Antony I only found out here after some time It was not even listed at first and so I registered it here without the name of the perfume house. Someone found out his origin, but unfortunately I did not succeed. Thanks to the research team!
When I look at the other bottles of this brand it looks very much like a brand that makes dupes Soon I did not know what to do with the fragrance, I thought about giving it away. Finally I started to test it and to wear it at work, I could still give it away.
And lo and behold, the fragrance is quite presentable. Although it might come from a Dupeparfum brand, I find Arts de France to be a high quality fragrance of good quality Arts de France starts right away with a good portion of aldehydes as they were modern in the eighties. At first a little bit like a hair spray the aldehydes quickly become softer and gentler. The fragrance gets a slightly powdery note with time, but never too stuffy. I hear subtle floral notes here. There should be rose, clove, jasmine and maybe tuberose. None of the flowers are dominant, everything is well interwoven. I'd suggest some vanilla and amber, but I can only guess It goes a little bit in the direction of Chanel N°5, LÀir du Temps, Vanderbild, Clea, Tosca (in its EdT! concentration)...but it doesn't resemble any of the mentioned ones one hundred percent and is somehow a mixture of these directions.
The fragrance is elegant and not obtrusive, yet easily perceived. Sprayed on in the evening it is still softly perceptible on my skin in the morning. From today's point of view it seems "old-fashioned", but people who like the aldehygic scents of the eighties might like it Arts de France is really a beautiful fragrance, and I regret not having kept it and given it a chance.
