The Sweet Fig Seeks Harmony with Pepper
Fig & Caramel from the brand 1973, which seems to be the house brand of the super perfumery Profumix Luxury Brands, is a sweet, fruity scent with a noticeable peppery twist.
The fragrance starts off directly with this fruity-sweet fig.
However, it struggles a bit with the pepper, which serves as a counterpoint. Somehow, the pepper, even though it is just the mild red variety, feels a bit too dominant for me.
It could also be some other note that I cannot define, which makes the scent feel somewhat uneven in my opinion.
There is simply something about it that makes the fragrance feel exhausting.
This impression is quite dominant and almost gives it a slightly synthetic feel. I find that disappointing because I actually find the brand 1973 really exciting and, for example, I really like the Black Cherry Kisser. But that is just my personal impression. Others may perceive it quite differently!
Fragrances are subjective, and that’s a good thing!
Otherwise, there are generally other slightly sweet nuances present, but I cannot identify them individually.
Over time, the woody notes become increasingly noticeable. The fruitiness of the fragrance recedes a bit.
However, a certain sweetness is still recognizable to me.
Fig & Caramel can be categorized in the unisex segment.
However, I find that the fragrance suits women a bit better.
The performance is okay.
On my skin, the scent lasts about 6 hours.
I even found the projection to be quite decent and would rank it higher than the longevity.
All in all, a rather intriguing fragrance, but unfortunately it has something about it that I do not like.
