Echt Kölnisch Wasser 4711 1792 Eau de Cologne

My own grandma never wore cologne or anything similar as far as I know, but when I walk past a grandma in the city, there's a good chance that I'll get a whiff of 4711 in my nose. Ergo the association of granny scent.

And yet I like it so much that I have to wear it from time to time. This is partly because I like neroli and partly because I always like old-fashioned perfumes anyway. The tart, citrusy beginning and the slightly sweet finish just harmonize so well for me. In winter I tended to just spray it on my towels, but now in summer I'll definitely spray it on more often despite its miserable longevity. Then I'll have the vibe of grandma sunbathing in a deckchair under a lemon tree at the touch of a button.

PS: I don't know if this is relevant for anyone, but I added a few sprays of my El Nabil Music Blanc to the cologne (I decanted the 4711 bulk bottle haha), and it goes really well together and extends the shelf life immensely! I'm sure it also works with another perfume that goes in the clean and slightly tart direction!
