A Tragically misunderstood scent
Before I began to seriously train my nose to different scents, when I brought this steal of a fragrance at a great price, I was truly unaware of the different classifications of fragrance. Ultimately, the scent either smelt great or not is what mattered at the time. While this is still true, my unfamiliarity with the notes led me to underestimate this scent.
Then I realized I gravitated towards warm, red and balsamic scents.
However, I realized I have a soft spot for citrusy scents as well, and Power brings a classy citrus opening. I get a petitgrain note from this, and if used correctly, can smell of money. Maybe it could be the face of the cologne, whom to some people can be decisive, stymied the release. It could also be that celebrity releases can be underrated as well. Regardless, there is a place for Power, and a nice addition to any man's collection.

Get Rich or Die Tryin’ ?
Yeeh...from 50 Cent, the enfant terrible of the US "Bumm Bumm Hey - Bitch" scene, there is a fragrance!
Of course, it's a must, since every petty person who has surpassed the fame of a provincial musician in the USA launches a perfume.
From screeching Aguilera to teen rock icon Lavigne to various other millionaires in the music scene, there are little scent waters available for purchase.
A rapping steroid bomber from Queens cannot fall behind, of course.
As a frequently booked talk show guest, he often boasts about how many times he has been shot at. That, and of course the number of his prison visits, simply belong to the good image of a gangster rapper.
If I wanted to underpin the whole thing with some malicious sarcasm, one could assume that the motivation for the opposing fire is Mr. Jackson's self-perfuming with this power stuff.

I consider a merciless critique of Power to be exaggerated, despite Mr. Frémont's only partially successful work, because there is undoubtedly (still) worse on the celebrity perfume market.
Power is a patchouli scent with faint hints of a spice-musk combination.
BANG...Magazine empty! That's all there is.

I suspect the buyer demographic of Power to be mostly youthful fans of the bad little rapper.
With a bit of imagination, I can see a teenager wrapped in a Power scent cloud in their bedroom cranking the volume of the stereo system to the max and belting out the lyrics of rap songs until their braces vibrate.

By the way, the headline is the title of 50 Cent's first (and hopefully last) movie.
No one has probably died after using Power.
From the sales profit of the fragrance, the "50" probably can't get any richer, because this patchouli concoction is not exactly in high demand, to my knowledge.

Enough is enough.
I'm now turning my baseball cap back to the right position on my head, taking off the thick gold chain with the bling-bling pendant from my neck, and moving with a cool ghetto shuffle towards the bathroom to get rid of the Power soup.

Hey...yo Baby...Wash...

A spicy - woody scent. Starts off slightly fresh. A hint of shower gel DNA. I find the fragrance quite pleasant. H/S unfortunately lacks power.
