Vegan synthetic leather
One word: A lightweight version of Encre Noire Eau de Toilette
I've smelled this somewhere before... Encre Noir. Yeah, it smells like vetiver. It's not as strong as encre Noir or Western leather perfumes, so it might be good for those who want a lighter leather-like scent. It smells like tobacco or smoke. I can't explain it any more...
This is a concept that gives a leathery feel without using animal fragrances, and the concept is the same as this perfume from LUSH "Vegan Leather Jacket (Perfume) | Lush / Cosmetics To Go" . If you imagine leather that doesn't smell like animals, vegan leather, it makes sense that it smells like vetiver.
Encre Noir is actually a "scent that is easy to accept" in Japan, because I think the synthetic ambroxan and musk are subdued. That's why it makes sense that leather smells similar.
For me, the best way to describe it is the state after wearing Encre Noir and the state after wearing it for a few hours. I guess the image is like a very light leather jacket. There's nothing particularly Japanese about it, but it's definitely Japanese in the sense that it's easy to wear. This one gives me a bit of a headache.
Conclusion: I don't understand why it's getting reviews and international recognition. I don't recommend it.
Background
When I hear black leather, I don't think of anything in particular, and black leather is never used for anything particularly Japanese. I think they probably wanted to create leather that is easy for Japanese people to use, not leather in the Western or Middle Eastern sense.
