This fragrance has truly surprised me
A few days ago I have once again a collection auction. There was also an almost full 100ml bottle of Garden of Roses. Unfortunately, the bottle is a bit leaky, so the fragrance is quickly reviewed. My feeling also told me that it is probably some "cheap product" and thereby I was quite skeptical at the designation "Eau de Parfum". Now I have waited over 10 hours and the Dingens still smells on the skin. Okay, the durability is really good, even if I would classify the sillage as somewhat weak. I would describe the fragrance as quite "linear" and not very spectacular. Nevertheless, it always smells very pleasant and really good.
The top note starts directly with a neat powderiness. Rosewood brings a sweet, floral, rosy and woody aromatics to the fragrance. The heart note remains powdery with a nice creaminess. The scent of roses is very authentic - just as you would imagine in a rose garden. The base offers vanilla, milky, woody and slightly balsamic aromas of sandalwood, ambergris as well as tonka beans.
Yes, this is not an overloaded but in the end still beautiful fragrance. Since today is the pearl wedding of my parents (30th wedding anniversary), my mom got this bottle in the end :-) (Spoiler: She likes the fragrance
