This fragrance truly surprised me
A few days ago, I once again participated in an auction for a collection liquidation. Included was an almost full 100ml bottle of "Garden of Roses | Acis / Moara Shira." Unfortunately, the bottle is a bit leaky, so the fragrance is being reviewed quickly. My instinct also told me that it was probably some kind of "cheap product," which made me quite skeptical about the designation "Eau de Parfum." Now, I have waited over 10 hours, and the scent is still lingering on my skin. Okay, the longevity is really good, even though I would classify the sillage as somewhat weak. I would describe the fragrance as quite "linear" and not very spectacular. Nevertheless, it always smells very pleasant and really good.
The top note starts off with a decent powderiness. Rosewood brings a sweet, floral, rosy, and woody aroma to the fragrance. The heart note remains powdery with a lovely creaminess. The scent of roses is very authentic - just as one would imagine in a rose garden. The base offers vanilla, milky, woody, and slightly balsamic aromas from sandalwood, amber, and tonka beans.
Yes, this is not an overloaded but ultimately still beautiful fragrance. Since today is my parents' pearl wedding anniversary (30th wedding anniversary), my mom ended up receiving this bottle :-) (Spoiler: She likes the scent)
