The Epitome of Natural Freshness

I have mentioned here before that I am a fan of citrus scents. And because these generally smell of purity, summer, freshness, and hygiene, corresponding essences are frequently used, including in shower gels, air fresheners, and cleaning products. But does that mean I no longer eat oranges, skip the lemon with my Wiener Schnitzel, stay away from Caipirinhas, or avoid lime ice cream? Hardly! Just as little do I resort to the same old refrain in local reviews about "smelling like toilet blocks" or "reminding me of Sidolin." If someone is so fed up with citrus scents, they should just not buy them! ;-)

Aside from the touristy Taormina association (of course a clever marketing strategy, possibly sponsored by the Italian tourism board), I have rarely smelled a fragrance that is so natural, authentic, and for me, exactly as expected of what is in it and what it claims to be. Therefore, a big compliment to the creators of this EDT. I will certainly try other fragrances from the Blu Mediterraneo series at least. Initially, I chose this one because I was very drawn to the idea of a blend of herbal-woody and citrus-fresh. And indeed: With the very first spray, I felt transported to a summer cypress garden somewhere by the Mediterranean.

Naturally: Cedro di Taormina is a summer fragrance and (also an old hat) fresh and light scents naturally do not last as long as sweet and heavy ones, but otherwise, the creators have done everything right in my opinion ... not to mention the great bottle, which somewhat resembles pharmacy inventory from the first half of the 20th century. I would also like to positively highlight that, unlike many other citrus scents, a salty note does not develop here after a while. For me, this is clearly more of a men's fragrance than a women's one. Therefore, Cedro di Taormina moves straight into my now well-stocked fragrance shelf, even as autumn is gradually approaching.

I love your reasoning in the first paragraph with toilet blocks and schnitzel, I need to remember that.

I find it nearly unbeatable in the summer; it stands out for me among a thousand citrus scents because of the woodiness!
