This is all oud, wood and spices. I get absolutely none of the citrus fruits at the top, except for a vague freshness that dissipates immediately in lieu of a smooth, refined oud backed by a spicy accord and a woody accord. No pencil shavings which is nice, but I wouldn't be able to make out the notes. These are the only three accords I get through my nose. The drydown becomes a bit more musky, but the tone of the fragrance remains linear all throughout.
I'm not an oud, wood or spicy type of girl and I find it definitely leans masculine to me so I will not be getting this fragrance for my collection. It's still, objectively, a very good introduction to oud as it eases you into it. It's not too alien, not too strange and for someone who is trying to get away from more mainstream notes and accords, this could be a good one.
