Load of spices on dark wooden planks!
Very few people here have this "Ajmal" fragrance! It's so good that it could be a "hype". It's also good that it's "rare", because that guarantees "exclusivity", something like a "super niche". Nevertheless, it probably doesn't cost the earth. I bought it blind together with 2 other "Orientals".
The "Taj al Raas Oud Blend" is a little rogue! At first, it fools the nose with mundane aromas, as if it were a banal "mainstream fragrance"! But far from it! Once the first 2 / 3 minutes are over, it begins its wondrous and wonderful transformation. There are hot saffron scents to slightly "grumpy" cardamom... delicate blossoms sneak around it like a cat around a hot porridge. Light jasmine does the honors, but doesn't show off. Patchouli joins in, subtly "cellar-like" and dark.
But other fragrances don't let themselves down either! Birch tar ("leather") and a good portion of oud wood approach in ever faster waves. Like the planks of a ship on which a cargo of oriental spices in crates is sailing towards its destination! Quite a big movie! Which I didn't expect at the beginning, after a boring, short "commercial" ;-))

Like a pastel-colored striped judo belt, if it existed!
Now, how did I come up with "judo" of all things? Well, that's probably due to a few loops in my mind. "Issey Myake is a Japanese fragrance house and judo is a Japanese, almost acrobatic martial art. In addition...
