Soft, powdery bouquet
Alberta Ferretti was a pleasant surprise. I really expected something generic, nauseating and cheap, but I found something soft, nicely done and wearable.

This fragrance is lightly floral, with a soft and sweet muskiness. It doesn't usually get much more feminine than this.

In person the bottle looks much nicer than shown in this picture above. For all those people who are rolling their eyes thinking this is yet another typical designer fragrance, think again. Sure, Alberta Ferretti is nothing out of the ordinary but it's one of the nicest subtle and inoffensive florals on the market today.

The lasting power is quite exceptional, and as I've previously mentioned, the sillage is intimate and polite. I see this delicate, slightly powdery bouquet on almost any woman of any age. It would even make a lovely present for a young girl just being introduced to perfume for the first time.

This beautiful fragrance is one recent release that I highly recommend.

Signora Alberta and Her Wanderlust
Alberta Ferretti is not a very well-known fragrance in Germany and therefore not so easy to find, even though Claudia Schiffer was hired as the face of the campaign.
This advertisement either completely passed me by or was not aired in Germany at all.....!?

I have wanted to test this fragrance for a long time, but my search was always unsuccessful; it was not offered in any of the perfumeries I knew.

My desperate call for a sample resulted in a very kind Parfumo colleague writing to me, who lives in Italy and informed me that this fragrance was currently being offered at a bargain price in a drugstore and she could send it to me (thanks again, dear Kadderl).
The price was so low that I gladly agreed to a blind purchase, and thus Signora Alberta set off on her journey from Italy to Germany......!

When the package arrived, I was so curious whether the fragrance would live up to what the fragrance pyramid promised.
The bottle immediately appealed to me; it slipped out of the packaging in a straightforward and compact manner, while being elegant and tasteful.

My first impression of the scent was a wow effect, as Alberta is not a shy young lady, but a mature woman with an amazing presence.
She wears high heels and an expensive handbag, and her clothing is unmistakably of high quality and very elegant.
Italian women simply understand fashion and know how to skillfully showcase their charms, and a fragrance like Alberta is the icing on the cake.....!

At first, I perceive it as somewhat herbaceous and predominantly smell patchouli, but after a few minutes, the fragrance becomes softer and more floral, finely underlaid with a peppery note and beautifully rounded off with amber.
The lily is also noticeable, but very delicate and lightly spicy; it does not unpleasantly push itself to the forefront, as too much lily quickly gives me a headache.

Alberta exudes warmth and zest for life; it fits very well into the colder season and pairs nicely with a cozy sweater and scarf.
I am completely thrilled with this beautiful fragrance and still wonder why it is so little known in Germany.
Well, at least it doesn't become mainstream and stands out positively from the crowd.

I now gladly let the Italian woman in me out, put on my highest shoes, take my most expensive handbag out of the closet, and cheerfully wrap a fine cashmere scarf around my neck, feeling simply wonderful!

Sweet, warm, spicy. Not my style, but my mom/dad would probably smell like this. I think it's suitable for both genders.

Delicate flowers, spiced underneath. It has a bit of a men's scent, and that's what fascinates me here :P
