Woman in Rose Alessandro Dell'Acqua 2005

When i blindly bought this perfume, i did not know the notes, so i was assuming this perfume is all about roses (and i love roses). It turns out that there is no rose in this fragrance, what a let down! It´s peppery, flowery, but not rosy. It has a cedar and bergamot in it, so it tends to turn bit male-ish on my skin in certain weather, but what actually impressed me is that in a warm weather it actually starts to smell like a light rosy scent! How is it possible??!! I do not know, but it happens only during summer, that is whne i smell mostly pink pepper and non-existing wild rose. Strange, very strange. I was not reaching for it often enough, so i decided to let it go, luckily someone who was looking for it for a longer time found it and not this perfume will be more appreciated than i did it.
Moderate sillage and lasting power, nice, but nothing to rave about it.

This smells so good I'm going to have to invent a cocktail to match. A mojito with pink grapefruit and a dash of rose syrup. My surprise purchase this year, fabulous.

I agree with Hasi. It is a floral wood scent, at least in the base. If there is rose in it (Omen should also be a noun), then it is a very bright, spring rose in white.

The opening is very fresh, but definitely floral. A certain sharpness gradually sets in, but it is not peppery sharp, as it remains bright and floral. I can't detect any mint crumb, but water mint (aha!!) is more sharp than minty. Perhaps it is this little plant that lets the penetrating sharpened tone resonate. A very light powdery whisper flits by, but then makes way for the woody undertones, which I like. There is nothing sugary-pink, nothing cute. The scent, although kept transparent in its entire presence (scent, presentation), is to be taken seriously. I can well imagine that it may not appeal to everyone. The term "crisp," which I have often used, comes to mind here. The woody base (I love cedar!!!) does not overwhelm - not on my skin. It fits wonderfully with the bright, fresh flowers, probably freshly cut itself.

This is a floral scent that appeals to me. The sillage is initially decent, then calms down a bit. For the right wearer, this can certainly be a nice office scent. Longevity from a test drop or two on the wrists is about 5 hours. That’s enough for a day behind the desk.

First of all, I have to say that this is a fragrance that seeks its wearer. It is the favorite scent of a friend of mine (a Southern woman with a cascade of black hair down to her waist), and on her, Woman in Rose smells as if it was created just for her! On some of my colleagues, it only smelled intrusive and creepy. It’s not my scent either.
Dominant is a soft woody "rose." A fresh scent that might be chilled by mint.
Once again, I find no rose in the fragrance notes, even though the rose is really recognizable. It is also depicted on the bottle. And the liquid is pink. One wonders whether the rose depicted on the bottle has subconsciously influenced us and whether the name of the perfume was actually just meant to refer to the pink liquid in the bottle, and they simply forgot the accent aigu ^^
