Guerlain should be fined for doing this with an iconic and classic fragrance. This is what happens when you prostitutes your brand in a desperate attempt to cash from any possible way. This is not Shalimar, this shouldn't be called shalimar, this is a pleasant but unrecognizable Guerlain fragrance - linear, loaded in sweet musk, with an acquatic opening (on Shalimar! For God Sake!) and with some spicy florals. When you don't care about your image or history, you sell yourself like this for money, which is shameful.

Although not bringing something new, Shalimar Souffle is well made lemon-oriental flowers-vanilla combo. It opens with beautiful Guerlain's lemon reminding me of legendary Habit Rouge. The flowery heart of jasmine and orange flower is rounded by excellent gourmand ice cream-like vanilla.
It doesn't reminds me of Shalimar, and it should be properly named Habit Rouge pour Femme Souffle.
My girlfriend is really enjoying this comforting scent thus I'm a little bit biased.
P.S. The packaging is absolutely amazing.

Delicious - but not "shalimary" at all

I love it for its own uniqueness and vibe. It is a nice citrus dessert like scent. Souffle is a great name for it. Shalimar no so much. At least I cannot smell much if anything that reminds me of Shalimar EDP or EDT. I think it's more a marketing ploy than a real connection to my all time favorite evening eau de perfume. But this is still very lovely. It reminds me of a sheet of fresh baked lemon vanilla cookies set on a window sill next to an open window, waiting to cool off. It is really delicious, just not "shalimary" IMHO.

Dreaming of lemon sorbet with vanilla cream...

Mmmh, I love this! I tried Souffle de Lumière a while ago and that one was already great, but this is even lovelier. It's a little less citrusy, which I prefer.

Shalimar Souffle basically smells like a floral interpretation of lemon sorbet with whipped cream. It's sweet and vanillic, but not heavy enough to be a lemon cake. There is the tiniest hint of the classic oriental Shalimar DNA, but it's so subtle, blink and you miss it. I'm fine with that, as Shalimar reminds me too much of my mom to wear it. This tiny hint is not a big deal though, it only elevates the fragrance. The backbone of the fragrance is a very fluffy, clean, soft white musk. It makes the scent feel very airy, creamy and dreamy.
This is not super refreshing and sparkling like those lemonade/soda type of citrus scents, it's a more feminine and elegant take on summery citrus. I don't think that it smells that much like jasmine and orange blossom, but they play an important role to round out the scent.

Such a gorgeous scent. I'm really thinking of putting it on my wishlist, as I don't have anything like this in my collection of almost 200 scents and would love to smell like sophisticated lemon cream dessert.

Citrusy vanilla delight!

The original Shalimar and most flankers are much too animalic for my tastes; civet smells pooey to me. Souffle is like if you took all the civet and animalic qualities out of Shalimar and what is left is a citrusy vanilla with some floral notes. I adore this so much! Smells kind of like a lemon pound cake (complimentary). Understand why Shalimar purists don’t like this, it is really not much like OG Shalimar at all. However, this is a beautiful scent.
