Good everyday scent
I don't find Pure to be very green but it is floral. It opens with a white floral POW!, likely the lily & freesia combination, but it quickly mellows into a soft, soapy floral. JB78 review is spot-on with his review of Pure as a sheer floral that's marine fresh. Pure was launched about the time as Happy & Pleasures, but I find Pure to bemore likable nearly 15 years after launch.

Pure is one of those fragrances that is easy to put on & easy to wear. Clean & feminine. Something to wear when you don't know what to wear. Everyone should have a perfume like that in their wardrobe - this is mine.

I sampled Pure years ago, yet thought about it often. I finally caved in and bought it for winter wear. 50ml, $14 shipped, Amazon.

I think the bottle is crazy beautiful in its simplicity. Just lovely.

Vintage Soap Nestled In Lace
Pure soap, like a very rich, finely-milled, expensive hand soap. There's a burst of tangerines at the outset, then it turns musky with sweet green floral and layered with an airiness. There are some woody undertones to balance it, but they are quite faint. This has a vintage, almost romantic feel to it, somewhat like a Victorian era. Sung sits very close to the skin lasting a few hours. Perfect for a day strolling through antique shops nestled in a quaint village.

Like Pure Mountain Air
Pure --> pure, clear, straightforward, fresh, clean, innocent
*
Pure smells like clear mountain air. I sit in the morning, as the day begins, in a deck chair, high up on the mountain, near an old hut and in the middle of a lush green meadow dotted with wildflowers. Nannei, the dairymaid, is just making breakfast, with fresh milk and homemade butter. The sun is shining, and I take a deep breath of this wonderful, clear air. I can smell the damp wood of the nearby forest, which is slowly warming up in the sunlight, and the moisture is quietly evaporating. It becomes lovely, spicy, and you can smell cinnamon and amber mixed with the woods. Wonderful, this morning forest scent.
Gradually, the flowers in the meadow around me stretch their heads upwards. It becomes floral, delicately citrusy, and even a bit rosy. Tangerine blossoms reaching towards the sun, becoming cheekily zesty. Peonies slowly and deliberately mimicking the tangerine blossoms with their plump blooms. Another deep breath through the nose, a smile, and my head thrown back...
And then musk, the foundation for the feeling of well-being. I feel cozy, secure, at home, and unfortunately have to open my eyes because "Nannei" calls: Gschpusi.... the rolls are ready!!!

It doesn't always have to be expensive fragrances that let you "drift away" :-)

The first fragrance ever to capture my soul
1999 - I visited a friend in New York. I was a student and surrounded myself with the fresh to dreamily romantic scents of that time. For me, fragrances were daily companions; some I liked, others I didn’t. I had never experienced a real “Aha!” moment until then. That changed in a New York perfumery. Indecisive as always in such a place, I sniffed from scent to scent, yes I like that, no I don’t like that, yes okay, yes that too, oh good, oh too light, oh too heavy, yes I like that, oh not that, yuck terrible, and actually I don’t want to buy anything.

And then I stood in front of “Pure”.

I inhaled the fragrance, and a soulful feeling overwhelmed me. Like a fine, gentle cloth, it wrapped around my soul, brushed over my heart, and wouldn’t let me go. It is soft and light, yet somehow warm and magical. It is mild, but also slightly spicy. Yet in all its facets, harmonious. A touching scent. It makes you happy and at the same time dreamily melancholic. It penetrates the depths of your being.
The fragrance molecules tapped into the deepest synapses of my brain. Even later, when I had long since used up the perfume I bought back then, I could still bring the scent back to my nose from my memory. Unfortunately, this fragrance was not available in Germany for years.

I am happy that the fragrance can now be obtained online again. Now, after 16 years, I have found it again. I have many fragrances now, many of which touch my heart. I wear them according to my mood. Yet even now, after 16 years, “Pure” still manages to draw me back into its spell, to caress me, to capture my soul, and simply put a smile on my lips. Just so delicate and pure with a lot of warmth and tenderness - and that certain “something.”

Eastern Elegance
Eastern elegance, delicate fragile beauty. Orchid in the hair.
Pure. Clean. Graceful.
Warm skin, softly fragrant fabric.
Pure. Fine. Sensual.
Mild summer evening, warm summer rain.
Pure. Gentle warmth. Delicate freshness.

A hint of fine blossoms.
A touch of amber, a touch of musk.
Finely balanced with sandalwood, cinnamon.
Finely spiced. Nothing too much. Balanced. Without ballast. Without sweetness.
Simply "Pure".

A typically bright and fresh floral scent that you’ve smelled in a similar style before. The fine spice is what makes it special here.

The quite pleasant initial floral freshness quickly transforms into that kind of hairspray synthetic that prickles in the airways.

I mixed Lacoste pour Femme with Nivea. Unfortunately, I don't smell anything spicy or cinnamon. However, it's still beautifully crafted.

Great fresh-floral everyday scent with typical 90's flair. I don't get any cinnamon. Smells more expensive than it is -> great cheapy.
