Less is more - at least sometimes
The brand Alvarez Gómez is known for its affordable fragrances of Spanish origin, namely the classic Eau de Cologne that you can generously apply in warm weather.
Here we have the "Bergamota de Calabria | Alvarez Gómez," an Eau de Toilette that embodies the motto "less is more."
Upon spraying the perfume, you get an extremely natural-smelling bergamot in your nose. You almost get the feeling of just biting into a fresh, cool bergamot, so authentic and natural does this scent smell. Initially, you perceive the citrusy-bitter, green component of the bergamot peel. As the scent develops, it becomes slightly sweeter and fruitier, representing the fruit's flesh. You experience the bergamot from the outside in.
The longevity here is also somewhat stronger than that of an Eau de Cologne; however, you can comfortably apply several sprays. The sillage is right in the middle, and the right dosage helps here as well.
The bottle (new version - see my photo) is surprisingly beautiful, with the brand's logo and Greca pattern embossed in the glass. The sprayer is surprisingly good. It's a bit unfortunate that the transparent sticker is crookedly applied.
Regarding the price, one can only say: unbeatable! - when you can get 150 ml for about €6. The manufacturer is doing absolutely nothing wrong here.
This fragrance can be worn equally well by both women and men in spring and summer. It inevitably brings about a vacation feeling.
Overall, this perfume, despite having a "single" scent note, is very well done and for me simply encapsulates the essence of this wonderful fruit in a bottle. Highly recommendable!
