The reason I went to Zara a few weeks ago was actually to get a new bottle of Sunrise. But now what? There was a tester of Sunrise intense next to the fragrance. I didn't know it even existed. No entry in Parfumo, no YouTube video. Apparently I was one of the first people to hold it in my hand.
I was all the more excited to compare the fragrances as they developed. I quickly noticed that you only recognize differences with a magnifying glass. In the first half hour, I found both fragrances to be very similar, with the Intense being just a shade fruitier than the citrusy Zara classic.
After buying it and wearing it for a few weeks, it's now easier to tell the small differences. The OG is more forward with the lemon, the Intense has a smoother gradient. The lemon is still there, but it is creamier and better contained by the base.
I can't compare it with
Imagination because I don't know it well enough. However, I do see parallels with the hitherto unique
Allure Homme Édition Blanche Eau de Parfum, which already represents this creamy lemon to perfection.
Overall, the Intense in this creamy-lemony version is very well balanced and it leaves a very nice scent on the clothes until days later. I'm not a fan of Zara fragrances at all, but they really delivered with this version.
