Flowers, Flowers, and More Flowers!!!

Whoever once said that "women have no business smelling like flowers" is a flaming fool. What, after all, is the history of perfume, if not a long chronicle of women's struggles to smell like something other than women, with flowers figuring near the top of the list?

For those unmoved by such philosophical casuistry, I offer as a simple, straightforward case in point: Antica Farmacista MAGNOLIA, ORCHID & MIMOSA. Flowers, flowers, and yet more flowers, and yes, it's wonderful to smell like flowers!!!! "My answer is: Bring 'em on!" This composition is definitely not for any woman who wishes only to smell like a woman (and is apparently frequenting the wrong website anyway...). But it definitely is for those who delight in losing themselves in the gargantuan sillage of a ton of petals! The orchid and mimosa are quite a bit more marked to my nose than the magnolia, but the effect of the overall bouquet is exquisite. Floral lovers rejoice!

I used to consort, for reasons which remain obscure, with one of the sad members of the "women should smell like women" camp, and can affirm that he would hate this perfume. But that's a very good thing... This creation utterly exudes floral beauty and could bear that name (or one of its cognates) quite well. MO&M also has great longevity and a wonderful slightly soapy drydown...

Needless to say: recommended! (but not of course to those who think that women should smell like hot rubber, bandaids and dung, or a serial killer's crime scene...)
