Lingering in the moment

Mint likes to spread, both above and below the ground; anyone who has ever had it in the garden or in a flower pot knows that mint is a perennial, tough and able to survive.
It expands, taking over everything it can reach; none of its many fragrant varieties is an exception here.

This herbaceous extended family also plays a leading role in "Anabasis", the spicy-cool fragrance by Apoteker Tepe: in my opinion, it is more than just one variety that leads the composition here and also vividly reminds us of itself again and again later on.
How wonderfully green and light-flooded this fragrance is, which slowly emerges on my cool skin after spraying it on:
The carpet of mint at my feet, which leads me in the right direction to relaxing tranquillity with its powerful aromas: A sparse grove, inhabited by chatting birds, of tall pines and birches bathed in sunlight with a lively play of light and shadow in the small leaves that shimmer and glisten like cut glass facets in a light, barely perceptible breeze.
Aromatic, resinous coniferous wood smells of summer in the sunlight, but its essential oils are pleasantly softened by the tart, light green of the birch trees and are therefore not as dominant and headache-inducing as previously feared.
In the course of the fragrance, I find tart, spicy green in different shades, above and beside me, also playing around my feet; because shiso, a nettle-like plant that I know from naturopathy under the name perilla and whose light oil (from the seeds) somewhat alleviates my initial discomfort caused by the early pollen flight, grows here, spreading widely, as nettles like to do, and, in combination with mint, weaves a dense carpet of spicy aromas that accompany me step by step and play around in a somewhat rustic, original way.
on a warm summer afternoon, "Anabasis" transports you from the sun into a cool, quiet oasis of light shade, into a cathedral of slender trees with dense carpets of herbs, in which a veil of incense and cedarwood spice further emphasize this impression, creating a place of peace and relaxation that invites you to linger.
Here, thoughts can be thought and organized so that they can unfold and finally take flight; in a place where the connection to nature and the rhythm of the earth can be felt.

"Anabasis": a tart, fresh, well-composed work of fragrance art or a remedy for the soul?
I'm not quite sure; in any case, it's a green-spicy embrace!
