Vanilla with a twist

Now, I've tried a handful of Mancera perfumes and a lot of them have not knocked my socks off. However, this one is helping change my mind about the house. This is so beautifully blended and smooth. Yes, the osmanthus is loud as hell, but it does so while allowing the other notes to still come through. I also get the peach, and a bit of sweetness from first spray. The sweetness from the cream and brown sugar definitely give a soft sweetness from the start. Then, the magic happens and the vanilla comes in to amplify the sweetness. It's so yummy and cozy, but also kind of giving "grown and sexy" vibes.

I've seen people compare this to Kilian GGGB, but GGGB lacks the sugary sweetness that this has. While GGGB is nice, I like this one a lot more because I can smell more than osmanthus and woods. This is a stunner and don’t let the bad reviews / lower ratings deter you from at least giving this a try.

This one needs time to grow on your and it definitely needs time to macerate so the vanilla get deep and yummy. Major compliment getter for me in a variety of settings. Too cloying for summer, but works well in most other seasons. Good job Mancera!

Dirty Pudding

Actually, vanilla is one of the most delicious things on this planet. Also olfactorily. Unfortunately, the sweet substance has been used as a background, backbone, canvas in all sorts of fragrances for ages - and not always in a very high-quality and successful way. In the worst case, it reminds one of runny pudding rather than an actual, valuable, and intense pod. "Vanille Exklusif" by Mancera beautifully showcases both sides of the gourmand vanilla coin within a few hours...

At first, this "exclusive vanilla" feels… different. Good different. Smoky, dirty, dark, and quite high-quality. The first few minutes made it clear to me how a good vanilla scent can unfold and what detours it must take to do so. It must have edge and specifications, it must smell like nothing else before, it must include a wink or a twist. And this impression is what "Vanille Exklusif" gives. At first. Because quickly the extremely textural and positive impression turns into… mass-produced goods. I can't put it any better. Into all sorts. Into mush. And into shrugs. That's a pity. Overall, a fruity-creamy vanilla crescent with rash and "Too sweet!" potential. Instead of becoming more robust and interesting, it quickly becomes narrower, flatter, and cheaper. Mancera can do better. Only recommended for absolute vanilla junkies. Strong start, but it quickly loses strength.

Bottle: whether new or old - the Manceras are… unspectacular

Longevity: 7 hours, then faintly still

Conclusion: initially a nicely dirty and interesting spin on the already (too) often smelled vanilla. Later, however, it quickly turns into just sticky pudding in the direction of cheap brands. Weak development.

Sugar Cutie

For those who love delicious, gourmand, and sweet fragrances, this scent feels like home. The first spray is still a bit fresh, perhaps with a hint of green, but then it transforms into the most beautiful childhood memories of cotton candy, milkmaid sweets, vanilla crescents, and the other wonderful comforts of childhood. Do you know the moment when this sweet and sticky treat causes the first flavor explosions in your mouth... delightful. The scent remains present for many hours. I find the inclusion of cream as an ingredient interesting, but I can't really pick it out; most of the other notes fade into the background next to the vanilla. I like the scent and sometimes spray it over one of my dark and woody perfumes, creating a new fragrance world for myself. I think this type of scent fits very well with the current season. Physiologically speaking, vanilla boosts your mood, lifts spirits, calms men, and has an erotic component. So go ahead and indulge in this fine fragrance. There are two sizes: 60 ml for 88 euros and 120 ml for 130 euros. One to two sprays are enough for many hours of bliss....
