In the chocolate shadow of amber

Immediately after spraying it on, it becomes clear: Lato Oscuro is an "amber monster". All the notes that are too weak up front, such as lime, cypress, juniper and even the little bit of pine, are virtually crushed by the dominant amber from behind.

In tow is a good dose of benzoin, which is responsible for the slightly cocoa-like to chocolaty nuance. Elemi resin, incense and a little sandalwood are also noticeable and give "Lato Oscuro" a fine resinous touch. I also sniff a hint of cedarwood, which is not specified, but strangely enough I also detect a few spices, in particular a very small amount of pepper.

But from the first to the last second, the amber together with the benzoin stands above everything else. This makes Lato Oscuro neither monothematic nor boring, but beautifully warm, cozy, almost Christmassy and quite gourmand thanks to the chocolate. As a comparison, I immediately thought of Ambre Précieux by Maître Parfumeur et Gantier. Different structure, but very similar result.

A beautiful, unknown fragrance that is perfect for the Christmas season.
