Lovely fresh blue salty citric aquatic, strong yet easy to wear
First proper wearing of Crash Boat (soon to be rebranded as Playa Crash Boat, I believe), the latest release from RDZ Parfums. It’s a blue musky aquatic with sharp and sweet touches that make it pleasant yet bit provocative. As with the other fresh-themed fragrances in the house (Leyenda 21 above all, perhaps), Crash Boat performs quite well, a robust year-round option that should smell nice for a long wearing in warmer weather. Note-wise, it has a very clean, musky, salty, blue citrus zest at the top, giving way to a mix of fruits and woods in the base. Very pleasant, seemingly referential to classics like Blue de Chanel or Green Irish Tweed in the mix of sharp, blue, green, and fresh qualities together.
As with the rest of the line, Crash Boat is extrait concentration, and as with most of the line, it’s priced at $160 for 100ml, very reasonable in the current market. It’s sold everywhere that carries the brand, though I believe the usual spots like Perfumology are temporarily out of stock until the re-release.
Overall, I’m really impressed by this and find it highly classy, wearable, robust, and reasonably-priced, another outstanding entry from this house that’s only a year and a half into its journey.
