W O W !!!
This perfume is very rare or rather rare.
The smell of cardamom in this perfume is not in any other perfume
I did not find a similar smell to this perfume in other perfumes
It seems that the company itself does not produce and I do not know the reason
If anyone knows the reason and has a similar smell, let me know

AXE Refinement
On Saturday, I finally mustered the courage to make my way to Düsseldorf on the KÖ. First, I picked up a buddy because you can't do this kind of thing alone. :) And it was an absolute experience. The weather was completely awful at first, it was pouring down rain non-stop. But that was the only negative aspect of the day.
As soon as you drove into a one-way street, you could see the most expensive cars. Without really looking around, I parked my car directly in a parking garage, without even glancing at the price board. :D

Exiting the parking garage led us into a shopping arcade... stepping out of that, we were surrounded by all kinds of luxury stores. Starting with Burberry and ending at a shop where a well-off couple was buying a pretty Louis Vuitton bag for their cute little Cesar dog. They somehow fit the typical Sylt cliché. :) But I like that kind of thing.

In between, we got hungry, and there was real Berlin currywurst, without casing. I always wanted to try that, and it was an absolute taste sensation. Great. :)

Well, that's just an excerpt from the whole day there; I could tell you more, but that would be too much. :)

So, off to Schnitzler, where I encountered this fragrance. This time, I was initially impressed by the elegant design of the bottle. The nice lady did give me two other scents to test on the strips, but this one had something special. So, on it went to my skin. In the meantime, a customer dropped a bottle on the floor. Apparently, he wanted to make himself scarce, but we had already hooked him. ;)
So first, I strolled through Saturn with "Katana" on my skin.

In the top notes, you strongly perceive juniper. This was also the case on the strip. It smells completely new to me. But good. A short time later, the cardamom comes to the forefront. I find it to be a rather inconsequential fragrance note, but it gets a nice kick from the coriander.
After about 30 minutes, it becomes earthier. The patchouli appears, but this time it smells so wonderful because it is "softened" by something; I would say the coriander is still present, but at the same time, there's also musk, which gives it a bit of an AXE effect. But the patchouli refines this "cheap" aroma again.

And this accord lasts a long time on me and is, above all, very strong. The fragrance has a powerful sillage on me. But "Katana" behaves incredibly well on my skin. A fantastic scent.

Thus, the day in Düsseldorf eventually comes to an end, and it ends with paying for the parking ticket... -.- That's what happens when you don't pay attention to the price board. :D :D

A Bright Spicy Fragrance
As with Black Purple, there is also a suspicion with Katana that I have smelled something similar before. Unfortunately, I can't quite pinpoint where, but I suspect it's not just in one other perfume: Pasha de Cartier? Caron's Le 3ieme Homme? Or perhaps Creed's Erolfa?

Katana is a bright spicy fragrance, essentially featuring a very bitter, dry spice that is well described by the note of coriander. I found an attractive animalic note that runs throughout the entire fragrance and complements the spice.

Personally, I am not a big fan of bright, bitter spicy fragrances, and Katana is a very typical representative of this genre. The slightly animalic undertone - perhaps due to a musk - is certainly a plus. Katana has a bitter-masculine character and is definitely not the worst choice within this fragrance direction.

I am slowly getting the impression that Atelier Flou is focusing on well-made copies of what already exists. In doing so, Atelier Flou would be following a similar path to the brand Odori with some of their fragrances. Whether Katana is the better Pasha de Cartier - I will leave that question to the enthusiasts of this fragrance direction.

Egoiste 0.5
As soon as I spray it on, a scent captures my nose that I haven't sniffed in a very long time. Initially, it actually reminds me of the Axe Amber deodorant that I used many moons ago (I have no idea if it still exists today?). However, this note dissipates immediately and makes way for the juniper berry. A few moments later, cardamom and coriander from the heart note join in on my skin and merge into a very pleasant, harmonious, and balanced scent.
From this point on, the fragrance clearly reminds me of Egoiste by Chanel, although it is much more subtle and quieter. I realize that I am stretching it quite far by comparing this wonderful classic to anything at all - but that is indeed how I perceive it.
In the base, a lot of musk (a bit too much for my taste) is added, making the scent a bit more sensual.

The intensity and longevity of Katana, like its counterpart Black Purple, are extremely restrained. For a fragrance classified as an Eau de Parfum, I find it definitely too little, and I consider the price of 115.-- Euros / 100 ml to be quite high. However, Katana does smell quite natural and is very pleasant to wear. Those who like Egoiste but might find it too expressive could certainly find enjoyment in this. I also find it extremely interesting for women - perhaps even a kind of Egoiste pour femme, although Katana is by no means a classic women's fragrance.
The association with Japanese swordsmithing that the scent is supposedly meant to convey is successful and quite understandable due to its harmony and balance. I can certainly recommend it for testing without any reservations.

Dark, woody, spicy with a few ethereal splashes. Not bad, but unfortunately very synthetic.

Very nice, ethereal green-spicy men's scent, great musk base, slightly reminiscent of Bottega Veneta PPII, only the coriander is off!
