Admittedly: at first this Chinese proverb may sound somewhat derogatory.
But, what use is a star to me among so many who are up there when I'm sitting in the dark?
So the light in the house is much more welcome to me; already because it gives me the possibility to read (this is very important!).
For me, "For love of fragrance N° 1 Extreme" is more of a homey light than a shining star in the scented sky.
On the company's website I read that Marc vom Ende created the predecessor fragrance not only for the company's tenth birthday, but especially for himself.
I rather thought that this fragrance was the result of years of experience with customer wishes.
Just as at Van Cleef & Arpels for "First" the customers in the jewel temple were used as "test noses" until this piece of jewellery became round and supple and thus still touches many senses today.
Or - to stay in the present: did not Shirin David "created by the Community"?
Well, at ALzD you know the history of this fragrance; after some tests and before reading it I let my own thoughts wander to it.
"N° 1 Extreme" is for me a pleasantly even fragrance; at the same time masculine and feminine: "Made for men, but definitely meant for women" (quote: ALzD) is exactly right But to keep quoting: I don't need a "gun license" to wear this creation.
This fragrance is primarily applied in dark tones: a leather chord pervades the entire composition - sometimes more, sometimes less powerful.
A theme that changes with every new fragrance that is added - sometimes towards major, usually tending slightly towards minor.
The Ouverture with very strong, strongly spiced Earl Grey tea is unconventional, but with the also not restrained leather nuance it is an interesting variation of the fragrance opening.
Lemon, lime and grapefruit (surprisingly no extra dose of bergamot - and that's a good thing!), perfume this tea infusion a bit refreshing, while cardom and ginger immediately provide warmth.
A little fire in the fireplace is very welcome on the first autumn days; just like the warm light of a lamp.
The dark leather tones impregnated with spiced tea become lighter and brighter when lily of the valley and jasmine enter the stage.
Their typical floral scents flatter the previous scent: every now and then a flowery glow flashes: this scent symphony becomes more alive, the light tones resonate and soften the first impressions of the spicy heaviness.
The silver cedar wood fragrance flow is also good: aromatic, but not too strong, it combines the previous fragrance life into a very wearable something (Luckily I did without iris here, which I like very much.)
The skillfully dosed vetiver application brings the previously somewhat softer leather chord back into play more clearly and more deeply.
Vanilla and sandalwood tickle the senses and make you curious about the finale.
The triumvirate of leather, smoky and spicy benzoin and golden amber lead to this place and let this quite dark work fade away Now a fragrant sound experience is created!
"ALzD N° 1 Extreme" will become for me a petite blonde a pleasant companion for cooler days due to its balance.
Already now I am amazed at how sympathetically the dark leather track adapts to my somewhat difficult personality.
To my surprise, nothing is annoying here; because dark, strong leather is not necessarily a friend of my nose - quite the contrary!
Present, but always changing, this fragrance here reminds me of a chameleon: I never know how it will present itself to me next and of course that always stimulates curiosity.

A successful present for the 10th company anniversary, which is extremely portable, but also special.
For fragrance novices and young people certainly a trace too strong, too dark, too demanding!
Here I agree with the average ratings; for me this opus does not lead to larger rashes - neither positive nor negative in nature!
It is wearable, this fragrance, long-lasting and entertaining in its dark way: just like a piece of music that is well "composed", fluid and elegant to play.
So I will grant this fragrance experience a trial period; to send these "N°1 Extreme" immediately on their wanderings, it is too complex and there are certainly still some facets to discover.
