Well, how does it smell now?
So, it’s a little gem that crossed my path in Cologne. Completely unknown to me before and introduced by a very stylish lady in black at SF Perfume History. An impressive store full of niche fragrances, all of which were unfamiliar to me. All of them! And that enchanted me immediately, as if a hidden door had opened, revealing uncharted territory...
Based on my comments from
the initial presentations, the saleswoman was able to let her instincts play and offered me this sweet treat as the last fragrance... And I paused
"Pow! I've been looking for a scent like this for a long time without even knowing it..." my brain spoke to me. The scent cloud rose and brought me rich orange blossoms with grapefruit of the bitter kind, fruity spicy sweetness flooded my olfactory passage along the nasal cavity and finally gathered in my mouth... Ready to bite.
The sweetness clearly leans towards spiced cola with zesty sparkling orange, and also brought something mystical, woody, and forest-like with it. As the amber slowly and leisurely crept in, bathing everything in its golden, shimmering light. I closed my eyes. A gossamer layer of leather covered the whole juice like a veil, making it drift into the genderless. The more time passed, the softer and spicier it became with its seductive, lovely orange cedar sweetness, linear but well linear. Reliable, indeed. The scent lasted 7 hours on me, ungelayered. With Molecule 01, I could heavenly extend it, as I enjoy the cedarwood note in the drydown even more, which can be stretched many times over. Overall, the scent feels so cool, so caressing and distant at the same time. It plays in the same league for me as Narciso Rodriguez for her edT. Even though they are far apart in price, the Bachs was cheaper and thus better in my eyes. I keep reaching for it, despite the abundance I have. And even if it’s just to smell the bottle and think "Mine."
It’s also nice to look at in the sturdy glass with a magnetic black lacquer cap and high-quality paper label.
I wish it many other discoverers, without denying that I want to have it all to myself. ;)
