I can only agree
I ordered the Gold & Amber as part of a test series with other Bachs fragrances from the company Bachs to get to know these beautiful and truly affordable scents.
Upon spraying, there is immediately a warm, amber prominent start, only slightly spicy and subtly dry-powdery. The impression is immediately rich, and my admiration for the company grows, as the scent feels much more expensive than one would expect from the bottle price.
Amber plays the main role, possibly even with tobacco, which I can't directly smell, but at the beginning, the scent fills the room well, though it quickly becomes more subdued and relatively close to the body. Woody notes join relatively quickly, and the scent remains, at least on my skin and clothing, very present for hours. Here, too, it is the kind of fragrance that doesn't shout at you but skillfully releases its power into the surroundings, leaving a light amber mysterious cloud in passing and giving others the impression that the wearer of the fragrance is an elegant person with very good taste and sufficient financial prosperity.
In the end, there is a bright vanilla, delicately woven with wood, which makes its aura even more noble.
It is a mature scent, tending slightly towards the masculine side in my opinion, but for women who like to wear men's fragrances, it is also perfect as it surely smells very sexy on a lady.
This fragrance from Bachs also deserves more attention; for me, the price-performance ratio is unbeatable, and it is worth having it in a fragrance collection, especially for people who enjoy wearing a robust amber. I own many sweet amber fragrances, and I find that robust amber is rarer to find. The scent also appears elegantly minimalist, wood, labdanum, vanilla, done… Fine and elevated…
Personal taste is personal taste, and I tend to prefer distinctly feminine fragrances, which is why I probably won't be getting it for now. For the price, it is even a blind buy candidate for people who know their taste well and enjoy the scent notes. For those who were sad because it was discontinued, good news: it is back, the price has been adjusted slightly higher, but for this quality, it is absolutely fine.
In conclusion, I can only agree with my predecessor, a very good fragrance for surprisingly little money, which clearly proves that niche can also come at a moderate price.
And how about you? Do you prefer your amber sweet or rather robust?
Thank you for reading my review and warm regards
