"Just" a rose scent...
... but a beautiful one. In the opening, there is a subtle fresh fruitiness, later accompanied by pleasantly warm, spicy-woody notes, while always maintaining a delicate, unsweetened, and (thankfully) not at all soapy rose. Very harmonious and rounded. The longevity is also impressive; I still detected the scent very lightly on my clothes after two days.
If rose had a color, it would probably be cream, apricot, perhaps light red. Not a girlish, kitschy pink or fuchsia, not a cool white, not a bright, eye-catching yellow. Also not a strong red that draws all the attention. This rose does not stand in the spotlight, yet radiates in elegant, unobtrusive, adult beauty.
I am surprised, as I have found pure rose scents to be rather boring until now. But perhaps it is like so often in life: You just have to find the right one... ;-)
