Barber daddy

If there was something that was mushrooming out of the ground like business in recent years, then it was so-called barber shops next to Shisha bars. In my tranquil little town near Düsseldorf alone, there have been more than a handful in the centre in recent years. Even veteran hairdressing salons stick the addition "Barber" to the window front to signal that they want to go with the trend of the times.

Here not only hair is cut but also beards are trimmed skillfully. Of course, the industry has also recognized the signs of the times. After all, you can sell more products to a beard wearer than to a bearded man, because such a luxuriant facial hair growth can not only be shaved but also cut, trimmed, trimmed and of course creamed, waxed, gelled, oiled, washed and perfumed
The Danish brand Barberians has been involved in this for two years, primarily supplying the Scandinavian market and now trying to gain a foothold in Germany. On the website one sees accordingly all possible beard care utensils such as razors and brushes as well as beard and hair care products, among them Eau de Parfum No. 01.
mentioned here
With its brown, light-protected pharmacy glass, it is a perfect match for the other Barberians products, whereby the label is also puristic. Something simple for my taste - no matter, this is about the content. It should be quickly mentioned that the sprayer screwed on here works absolutely exemplary and nothing drips or drifts in the wrong direction. I'd like to have something like that more often.

But what can the scent do? Immediately after the first full spray, I notice that it doesn't imitate the typical classic Barbershop after-shaves or eaux de colognes, but completely towards the masculine-spicy lemon, but tangy and with a warm-sensual charisma. The natural-looking prelude is in any case very promising. In particular, I like the ginger note very much.

It's a pity that it doesn't stay that way any longer, because after a relatively short time the orange blossom passes by, but more and more our Eau de Parfum gradually drifts into the woody area of the light, dry to almost dusty species.
In between, green notes purr, which could possibly come from the moss. Otherwise, the eau de parfum itself dims out more and more towards the end, whereby the indicated ingredients are very difficult to assign, which does not have to be a flaw.

All in all, Barberians Eau de Parfum No. 1 is, in my opinion, the modern, trustworthy interpretation of a Barbershop fragrance. Halt citric, spicy, warm and woody with quite masculine emphasis - and with style. Personally I would have wished for a little more radiance and endurance, but maybe I lack enough hair as a fragrance carrier for my 5-day beard to contribute to the appropriate Odeur.

Ergo: definitely doesn't go well with milk boy or shaggy lumberjack types, but all the more with the stylish beard bearers who almost live in the barbershop.
