Fresh and Everyday Suitable

Since I am currently on an eco trip and have done some reading in the cosmetics area, I was quite shocked by what one puts on their face. That's why I've recently switched to natural cosmetic products. I tolerate them well (much better than conventional products) and the results are more than satisfactory.
So then I thought to take a closer look at the ingredients of our beloved fragrances, and the result is not exactly pleasant.
Most fragrances contain substances that are hormonally active and can be carcinogenic. Okay, sure... what is really healthy, but if you can try to give yourself a good feeling and avoid certain things, it can't hurt.
Bench an Urban Original 2 scored quite well on Codecheck, and for this reason, I bought it today primarily. Additionally, it does not undergo animal testing, which is also important to me!!
It smells really nice, on my skin it becomes similar to a mix of Boss Orange and Hugo Deep Red, both of which I like ;-).
I admit, for special occasions I will continue to use my "going out fragrances," but for everyday wear, I find it great, and it is available for a really low price, 50 ml costs just 14.95,-.

Floral Fruity Fresh

My best friend is on vacation and I'm taking care of the flowers. I like to shop in his neighborhood. There are quite a few stores in a central location, where I would otherwise walk my feet off. I have my favorite shops that I visit like a dog checking its family tree. Quick stop at DM to grab a few things. Nothing exciting, just essentials. Then a quick stroll down the fragrance aisle. Since I already have the yellow scent from Bench (I love it), I decided to test the red one. Out of the store and completed some more shopping. I kept sniffing my wrist and was increasingly impressed. Before heading to the car, I popped back into DM and bought the smaller bottle.

But now to the scent. It starts off fresh and fruity with mandarin and apple. But not that artificial apple from the 70s, rather fresh, a bit citrusy. Quickly, jasmine (not much), lily, and orange blossom join in. Freshly floral overall, without being too berry-like or overly floral. The dry down is gently rounded off by musk and sandalwood. A scent that is just to my taste. Extraordinary without being intrusive or overly fruity. Also suitable for the warm season, unless we have 30 degrees in the shade. The longevity is very long at 6-8 hours and the price is moderate.

Urban Fruit Puree

The bright color and the fact that Bench really has beautiful jackets in their collection were decisive for testing. So I boldly sprayed it on the back of my hand. One needs courage given the development of the scent.

Initially unspectacular, fresh, and fruity. But not really delicious. Piercingly citrusy and mushy, compact. Like a sticky film, the scent already clings to the skin.
From there, it goes downhill. The apple stands out quite synthetically from this mixture and strongly reminds me of the dish soap I am currently using (now I finally know why it seems so familiar).
Orange blossom, musk, and lily; you can scratch all of that. One waits in vain. Instead, there’s a lot of sweet-floral insignificance. I could swear there’s vanilla in it. The crumbly-cookie kind.
It remains unpleasantly piercing, intrusive, screamingly sweet, dish soap-like, and even annoying. Honestly, it puts me in a bad mood. Well, one can't expect a masterpiece. But I have found more pleasant scents on the drugstore shelf. As is often the case: the sillage of unpleasant scents is unfortunately way too strong and makes me blush on the tram... No, this one does not belong to me! The longevity is quite decent. Still strongly noticeable after three hours.

If this is urban, I’ll move to the countryside immediately. Monotonously rambling, the scent wants to tell me how original, urban, stylish, and who knows what else it is. It tries to clumsily impose its memorized and stolen ideology on me and leaves me with zero space.
Unfortunately, it reminds me of a rather unpleasant and intrusive acquaintance from the disco. Who had to brag all evening about how expensive his tie and the great car were.
No, I’d rather have well-mannered boredom.

It's actually a shame. With this concept, one could have implemented quite a bit. Unfortunately, nothing will come of the cool city Amazon. When I look at the men's version, they were a bit more creative with the notes.
No matter how I turn it, I can’t warm up to this creation. Not even a tiny spark that could jump. I’d rather craft a skyline out of cardboard. That’s also urban and, in comparison, incredibly original.

There used to be an apple shampoo with an apple cap... that's exactly how this scent smells! At least for the first half hour. Then orange blossom joins in.
