No pirates here
Opens with a sharp, almost medicinal incense and patchouli that settles after about an hour into a warm, woodsy, mildly spiced blend, which is where it stays.
I read a number of reviews praising this for its pirate ambience, but frankly I think that’s just the influence of the name (Anne Bonny was a notorious 18th c. pirate). Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice scent, but there’s nothing even remotely seafaring about it; the picture brought to my mind is some firmly land based incense in a little wooden chapel.
If you’re looking for a pleasant, inexpensive, not necessarily unique incense fragrance this might fit the bill, but if you truly want a pirate perfume I recommend exploring Beaufort London (start with Iron Duke and Fathom V ).
Protection starts moderate before fading to low, longevity is reasonable at around 6 hours, gender is completely unisex.
