Willy Bogner's Sense of Snow

In line with the current weather, my gaze once again fell on Snow from my small collection today. This fragrance has been in my selection for a long time, and I like to bring it out from time to time to enjoy it.

Willy Bogner and snow have always been a magical connection. On one hand, of course, as a ski racer. But also unforgettable are the thrilling film shots, especially for the 007 classic "The Spy Who Loved Me." It was only a matter of time before a perfume from the Bogner house had to be dedicated to this element.

In principle, I would agree with the classification as fresh-aquatic, although the aquatic aspect stands out significantly from the usual suspects. The juniper is crisp and present at the beginning and remains so throughout the development. I don't know which note or notes manage to create this characteristic sharp, icy accord. In any case, it has succeeded excellently in capturing the crisp, cold impression of fresh mountain air after snowfall. Chilling and crystal clear, yet also cutting and sharp. The fragrance maintains this "crispy" character throughout and only becomes a bit softer and gentler towards the end.

The longevity is above average for a fresh scent, lasting 7-8 hours. In the first 2-3 hours, the sillage is also quite extensive, then it gradually recedes slowly. By the way, the bottle is also stylish, made of partially frosted blue glass, slightly curved, and standing on its head. The frosting indeed resembles glass fogged up from the cold.

Not one of the great classics that one would mourn the loss of. Yet it is successful with a touch of the extraordinary. Willy Bogner's sense of snow has been interpreted here very convincingly.
