Old love never rusts
Even though this perfume is no longer available, it still deserves a brief comment from me.
For a while, it was something like a 'signature scent' for me - even though I didn't even know that this word existed back then.
Bogner Wood smells very soft and cuddly from the very beginning, but - very importantly - not sweet.
Almond and cinnamon in the top note might be accurate - I simply perceive it as creamy-spicy, with the creaminess clearly dominating - it has something of almond milk. Although I wouldn't mind if the cinnamon were a bit stronger.
Fortunately, I can smell this almond milk much more than the listed flowers in the heart note; had I known that lily of the valley was included, it would have been a dealbreaker for me at the time of purchase.
But back then, I didn't know anything about these things and just relied on my nose ;)
Somehow, this very nice top note lingers on me for quite a while before slowly transitioning into the also very pleasant base of vanilla and woods, before the scent gradually fades after a few hours.
It's a shame that this fragrance is no longer available.
And a little anecdote on the side: When my daughter saw the picture, she remembered how she went to Müller with her dad as a little girl to buy the perfume I wished for my birthday, which I had shown her beforehand.
In the meantime, both can shop for birthday gifts for me on their own - what progress ;)

Wow, der klingt aber fein! Der hätte mir auch gefallen können. Und das Untenstehende kann ich nur unterschreiben! Man sollte nie zu früh was weggeben.

Danke. Ich freu mich auf jeden Fall total, dass ich den vor einiger Zeit, als ich Kopfweh davon bekam, nicht aussortiert habe. Und was lerne ich daraus? Gib nie zu schnell etwas ab, was du irgendwann vielleicht doch wieder magst ;)
