Very helpful Review
distinct freshness
At first, I thought of something like Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa when it came to Cologne Intense, a fragrance similar to 4711 with extended longevity, even though the fragrance pyramid didn't necessarily suggest that.
Nevertheless, I had a sample sent to me in exchange from DufTiger (Thank you!).
Initially sprayed on a piece of paper and "Oops", this doesn't smell like lemons, bergamot, neroli, and the like at all. No, it smells green and woody, but delicious.
So, during somewhat Cologne-appropriate temperatures, the body test took place.
In the opening, I can catch a hint of something citrusy and the sharpness of ginger.
At the same time, a green and slightly musty vetiver note comes through the fragrance cloud.
The sharpness of the ginger lingers for a few moments, then the vetiver takes over, captured by cedar and a bright, slightly floral note.
I really like this vetiver. It is green and slightly earthy, but very wiry, airy.
Just as a Cologne should be. Nothing sticks or presses.
The scent then lasts for a few (few) hours. After about 4 hours, the fragrance has retreated to the skin and fades quietly. A hint of vetiver is still perceptible, and the Indian woods mentioned here make me sense sandalwood. At least a little bit.
Once again, an unexpected, beautiful fragrance experience.
Despite the limited longevity and the rather weak projection, which is only slightly above the usual Colognes, I give an enthusiastic 80% and a spot on my wish list.
Since it is not too expensive, something could actually come of it.
