Another love

I love the is fragrance. It reminds me of my childhood and playing in our family garden. We had a big honeysuckle plant that grew up our wall and over a wooden arch. The smell was intoxicating in summer and this is so realistic of the scent. I don’t get much tuberose or jasmine, although I do like both of those notes. This is very much a Honeysuckle fragrance for me. I have found, now had my bottle a few months, I can sense the wordiness in the dry down which wasn’t detectable when I first got it. Still I love it so much

Nothing extraordinary…

I really like the brand very, very much. So many beautiful, sometimes extraordinary fragrances. For example, Meraki is a beautiful scent, but unfortunately Botanicae is not a powerhouse. Most fragrances become too close to the skin too quickly and have a very limited sillage. This is also the case with Patio, which smells quite ordinary compared to the rest of the collection.

With Patio, I first have to endure the very prominent top note for 1 hour, which is not at all to my liking. A very green and slightly meaty tuberose for my nose. Unfortunately, the tuberose remains quite present in the drydown, but with the jasmine becoming more pronounced, the meatiness recedes a bit into the background and is softened by honeysuckle and a very powdery iris.

I find that the scent smells almost vintage. It’s nothing you haven’t smelled a thousand times before. Not bad, but nothing special, just an ordinary tuberose/jasmine scent. You have to like the meatiness to wear this fragrance.
