An uplifting freshie for spring/summer

When my bottle first arrived, all I got was dry Petitgrain and juniper. After around a week of letting it recover from shipping, I tested it again and wow!

This is gorgeous! A fresh, zesty, sugary lemon, ginger, juniper, herbaceous bomb. I love it. It’s a very uplifting and energising fragrance. You can tell this is high quality and it’s worth every penny. I’m excited to see how this develops over time and I can’t wait to use this in Summer, or at least when the cold weather is gone. I highly recommend this if you love a freshie!

A Great journey

These are the splendid words of Paul Gauguin when, with a heart full of sadness, he left his beloved Tahiti to return to his homeland.
Here his painting experienced its most prolific period, here he found peace, here he freed himself from rules and preconceptions.
To celebrate his experience he wrote "Noa Noa", or "perfume", a diary where in addition to talking about this new land, he will express his emotions.
Noa Noa, olfactorily speaking, with its initially citrus scents communicates the emotion of the first impact with the island, which becomes more enveloping and prosperous with notes of monoi and juniper, to end with a woody base to represent wisdom and heart full of memories.

Good Mood in a Bottle

Thanks to a nice perfume shop, I had the opportunity to test this scent recently.
Shortly before, I had already tested the Meraki from Botanica Expressions and was impressed by its quality considering the price for a 100ml bottle.

Admittedly, the Noa here is a bit more expensive, but this release convinced me immediately, so much so that I now need to get a bottle for this summer.
Right now, as the days get longer and warmer, the scent fits perfectly. Good mood incoming.

Citrus/fresh scents are as common as sand on the beach, and I find it increasingly difficult to find examples that offer that certain something. The Noa Noa is one such candidate for me.

The scent opens with an incredibly delicious lemon, paired with orange and a hint of ginger, not too sharp and far from making anyone think even remotely of toilet cleaner. The opening triggers an immediate salivation response.

The creaminess is immediately present, and I also perceive a hint of spice, which is likely due to the juniper, although I can't clearly identify it.
Vanilla and musk do the rest. Sun, sunscreen, along with a delicious cocktail, or alternatively a tasty lemon ice cream. That's how life should be lived.

A Summer on Kos

This fragrance always reminds me of summer in Kos.

Back then, we would always walk through the orange groves after dinner, and this is exactly the scent that Noa Noa offers in the opening.

Beautiful fresh orange, not a bit sharp like the zest, rather soft like the juice. After that, the scent becomes very soft and bright for me and smells like sunscreen.

The fragrance is not a beast, but it shouldn't be. Still, I can smell it on my skin for up to 6 hours, which is enough for a summer scent intended for temperatures above 25 degrees.

For anyone looking for a citrusy summer fragrance that doesn't smell like a toilet.

Summer can come….

In my last order from Duftbunker, Felice made the scent of Noa Noa so appealing with an included sample that I had to get it as a bottle. Thank you once again for that.

Now to the fragrance:

For me, this scent falls into the summery-exotic category. The sweet, very orange citrus top note is my personal highlight and feels absolutely natural, without those annoying toilet freshener vibes.

As the top note gradually transitions into the heart note, a subtle floral quality emerges, which then blends with dreamy vanilla and musk in the base note.

The fragrance feels extremely high-quality throughout and doesn’t need to hide behind any niche scent. It is absolutely premium, long-lasting (on me, the scent lasts a good 8 hours), and has only conveyed positive vibes so far - whether in the form of compliments or simply as a feel-good scent.

For me, this is the summer fragrance of 2024.

And it’s very important to mention:
The packaging is amazing. You receive a very high-quality folding box, which not only contains the bottle but also a notebook covered in faux leather with the brand's imprint - and all at an unbeatable price. The brand truly deserves more attention and offers a fantastic price-performance ratio.

The next Botanicae fragrance will soon be joining me.
