Every beginning has an end
So long had the end been near, then it was finally here. They are white shadows of the coniferous forests. They breathe hoarfrost onto the fields in light green cool mists. They are resins frozen like tears on threads, now shimmering in the morning light, melting like fairy crystals for a moment. Falling over shivering lichens. Dying in the damp soils below. A new year. January.
**
Bravanaritz, based in Spain, is entirely dedicated to natural scents. The goal is to capture places through aromas and let the plants native to those areas speak.
The series originally designed as a room fragrance around "Gener," January, also represents the scents of the four seasons with the other months "Maig," "Agost," and "Octubre." This original orientation is likely the reason for Gener's low projection and longevity.
In contrast, the painted scent picture of winter is impressive. At the beginning, there are indeed authentically appearing, frosty-cool coniferous forests. The more green-spicy mastic resins create this impression through the citrusy touch of bergamot and the earthy-bark-woody notes of oak moss, which increasingly dominate in the drydown that begins far too early. After two to three hours, the image then completely fades to a subtly citrus-soapy residual memory.
