Every beginning has an end
For so long, the end was near, then it finally arrived. The white shadows of the coniferous forests. They breathe hoar frost onto the fields in light green cool mists. Resins frozen like tears on threads, now shimmering in the morning light like fairy-tale crystals for a moment. Falling over shivering lichens. Dying in clammy soils below. A new year. January.

Bravanaritz, based in Spain, is entirely dedicated to natural fragrances. The aim is to capture places through aromas and let them speak through the plants that live there.
The series, originally conceived as a room fragrance around "Gener", January, also depicts the scents of the four seasons with the other months "Maig", "Agost" and "Octubre". In the case of Gener, the low projection and durability are probably due to this original orientation.
In contrast, the painted fragrance image of winter is impressive. At the beginning, there are indeed authentic-looking, frosty-cool coniferous forests. The rather green-spicy mastic resins create this impression through the citrusy touch of bergamot and the earthy, barky notes of oakmoss, which increasingly dominate in the drydown, which begins far too early. After two to three hours, the picture then fades completely to a discreetly citrusy-soapy residual memory.
