White Water - Beautiful Against Expectations

Brecourt is one of those brands with which I have not had good experiences so far. I have tested many, but liked few. I found several uninspired. In this respect, my expectations were rather low here as well. After reviewing the ingredients, it was clear that it would be a lemon and tea scent - and that suits me. In fact, I am very taken with it, as the distinctly noticeable lemon merges with a lovely spicy tea note into a creamy mélange, which the musk likely contributes to. Bergamot and mandarin remain subtle, yet still strong enough to understand that they are supposed to be present. There is a certain charm in that. A floral hint quietly wafts through the composition as well.

Many criticize particularly the longevity and weak aura here. I have mentioned often enough that this does not bother me. However, I find it not as bad as described. Although the scent quickly retreats to skin proximity, it remains noticeably around the person for a long time. During a walk in the fresh air, I repeatedly caught a whiff of the creamy lemon, even though I had only applied two economical sprays to the back of my hand. I do not want or expect more - for myself and my environment.
In this respect, Eau Blanche, the white water, has positively corrected my perception of Brecourt.

As another recommendation, Mauvais Garçon should be mentioned, an equally subtle lavender scent from this brand.

I've been wearing this scent regularly since it was released. Very nicely and accurately described.

That sounds lovely, I'm increasingly fond of tea scents; they work especially well in the summer.

Creamy lemon? *drool*
And the moral of the story: never give up on a brand! :)))

This creamy blend sounds really nice. Although I also need a bit more "oomph" :o)

"During a walk in the fresh air, I kept catching whiffs of [Fragrance X]" - I think there’s hardly a more beautiful fragrance experience!

.. before Parfumo, such a delicate scent would have seemed too little to me - but I've come to realize that the beauty of a fragrance goes far beyond sillage and longevity. Hints can be quite alluring too :) .. enjoyed reading this again!

Then I'll add it to my wishlist, because I've had a similar experience with Brécourt as you.

I prefer drinking lemon tea, but I still enjoyed reading it as always.

That sounds nice! I like both, lemony scents and tea. So it could be something for me.

A glance at the fragrance notes gives me a slight urge to buy, but a look at the longevity and sillage makes it disappear again.

I definitely tested about ten different ones back then (2011) and wasn't particularly impressed. There were a lot of nice and pleasant scents, but nothing that left a lasting impression. This fragrance sounds great for a tea fan like me... - now that I think about it, my daily liter of tea is almost more important to me than my perfume...

I don't always find longevity important. Sometimes you just need it for the moment, and just for yourself.

The brand is completely unknown to me; however, since I really like citrus scents and those with a tea note, I might enjoy this one.

I do have a soft spot for underrated fragrances. But I don't really want an eau to be creamy.

Good tea scents are rare, and this one sounds quite decent!

Yes, a walk can sometimes be a clarifying tool (even if not exclusively for that purpose) to get to know a fragrance.
Stroll & lemon tea trophy for you!

So far, I haven't been too impressed with most of the brand either, and I don't think this one will change that. :)

I don't think I know much about the brand. And what you're describing probably won't convince me.

That's clear and straightforward, much clearer than how it appears to me. More thought work is needed before the sniffing. Thanks and best regards.

I've only known the brand to be decent so far, but never outstanding, let alone innovative. That's okay though; sometimes you need exactly those kinds of scents. I don't know this one, but it fits into the Brecourt picture for me.

Strange, most people here drink coffee. Asian tea is usually only consumed, if at all, as CTC from pre-packaged bags. But in perfumes, it should smell like special, unique teas. I prefer to enjoy the finest tea varieties as a drink, and definitely without lemon, rather than as a fragrance note. Although tea notes in perfumes can sometimes be quite well done. Authentic tea notes should only be subtly "prepared" with a light sillage, and that seems to have been achieved well here.

I like Contre Pouvoir as an everyday sweet licorice scent. Not a standout, but a solid good one.

I haven't had much experience with Brecourt yet. This direction appeals to me, and I'm sure I would like this scent as well. With really good fragrances, I'm happy to overlook a less pronounced longevity. Sometimes you get pleasantly surprised.

Sounds pretty good. I also really like tea scents. A bit more robust would be nice too.

I initially wrote that I didn't know it at all, and then I saw that I had actually already rated it, heehee. But it didn't score very well. Back then, I tested several fragrances from Brecourt, and I ended up buying "Eau Trouble" - I liked it so much that I got it twice!

Sounds good. My kind of scent. The only one I know from Brecourt is Ambre Noir. A sweaty amber. I found it very interesting. In a good way.

As always, a high-resolution, helpful description. This could even be something for a tea-loving lemon-phobic bunny.

I also like tea in fragrances, as long as it doesn't lean too much towards Earl Grey. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!
