The other book was from after the fall of the Berlin Wall, but dealt with a very old-fashioned topic: "Negro music is the key to the decay of the West!". Both monographs I skimmed briefly to get an idea of their content.
Arriving on the top floor, I opened one of the tilting tall narrow windows - the April day in Berlin was lime-scented and somewhat earthy, just as Believe is for a long time - and said in jest to my guard, " What if I hop down here now?" It was all a joke, he had the scare, I had the fun.
