The Woods Brooklyn Soap Company 2015

My first and hopefully last blind purchase. It was a sale and for 50 euros I thought I couldn't go wrong with Brooklyn's signature fragrance.

Far from it. The fragrance starts with a sledgehammer of mandarin. I just - omg - when does it stop. If citrus fruits are nicely integrated, all good. But this is pure mandarin. After 4-5 minutes, the mandarin goes to sleep and doesn't wake up. Shortly afterwards, you can perceive the spices, woods and resins. But only very faintly. After an hour, I smell almost nothing.

So I put - ok then more - 4 pumps on the woolen sweater, the scent usually lasts a very long time. Unfortunately, after 10 minutes I smell nothing.

I'm about to send it back. This is bordering on customer fraud. Every other natural perfume performs better! I'm really shocked.

I own two other fragrances from Brooklyn. Santal Rose and New Level. Both are worlds better (I still hope, as I've had them for two years I'm not sure if they've changed the formulation there.

If Brooklyn delivers quality like this, they will soon be delivered.
