A new perfume by Captain Fawcett's for men, released in 2024. The scent is powdery-fresh. The production was apparently discontinued.

Retro the right way
Definitely a barbershop scent with a twist to it. This scent makes my imagination wander thinking this is what a purple, steampunk barbershop would smell like. It's powdery fresh and sweet, but also purple powdery throughout. It can be a rainy day scent. I can smell a hint of the coffee note. A very masculine scent, but can be worn by women. A very unique freshie since most freshies are green or blue scents. Out of all the Captain Fawcett fragrances, this one is the best. Booze and Baccy I rate 2nd.

Well-made scent! It is definitely cohesive
Nebula, I was very curious about this fragrance and the brand Captain Fawcett's in general.
I can already say that the scent is fundamentally quite solid.
It is definitely not a bad fragrance, but also not one that blows me away. Surely it will have some fans or could still gain some, if you look at the ratings in numbers. For me, it is definitely not a 9-point fragrance.
This is probably more due to personal taste.
I was leaning between 7.5 and 8 and ultimately landed on 7.5 because it doesn't quite hit my personal taste. However, the potential is high that this could change if I wore it more often.
Then I would certainly give it a direct 8 points.

The fragrance opens fresh, almost really a kind of barbershop freshness that wafts around the nose.
In the background, the woody facets are already recognizable, as well as the iris note.
The iris note becomes increasingly intense over time and brings with it this powdery touch.
Most of the time when I smell iris, Dior Homme Intense comes to mind, and it was the same here. The two fragrances do not smell alike at all!! I still find the iris note somewhat similar, but it is, of course, wrapped in a completely different way, and thus the fragrance comes across quite differently.
The powdery iris carries the woodiness with it and also this pleasant freshness from bergamot and grapefruit.
The rosemary adds a slightly green, spicy touch. The rosemary is certainly partly responsible for the aforementioned barbershop character.

In the section where the iris becomes more and more noticeable, as well as the woody nuances, a certain sweetness also enters the scene. However, the sweetness is really subtle and finely tuned. Towards the end, we have a nice vetiver accord, further woody facets, and this beautiful clean musk.

All in all, the notes harmonize really well with each other, making Nebula easy to wear and definitely worth a test.

Unisex?
Yeah, but I see it more on the masculine side.
Still, I would argue that due to the quite powdery iris, a woman could possibly wear it as well.

Performance?
It's okay.
Longevity on my skin is about 6 hours.
Sillage is moderate and pleasant.

I am truly thrilled! It is quite close to Alexandria II in the end!
It doesn't happen very often anymore that a fragrance captivates me so intensely. But Nebula has managed to do just that. The longevity on my skin is fantastic and approaches 24 hours. The sillage is also very successful, and I received endless compliments.

The top note offers a blend of a green-herbaceous freshness and a strong, sweet powderiness. I recognize myrtle, eucalyptus, rosemary, iris, and violet. The heart note has a slight coffee scent (curiously, this doesn't bother me here, as I usually find coffee in perfumes terrible), but also woody and balsamic notes of sandalwood, guaiac wood, and cedar. Then floral hints of lavender and leather emerge. In the base, I detect oriental, balsamic, and woody nuances of amber, a pleasantly agreeable, not too overpowering, and aphrodisiac oud aroma, as well as slightly sweet musk with a hint of bourbon vanilla. To be honest: The base totally reminds me of "Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff," and Nebula increasingly resembles this classic over time. Nevertheless, I would never call it a dupe or knockoff, as the top note in both fragrances is completely different.

Since I've received so many compliments, I will probably have to look for a bottle of "Nebula | Captain Fawcett's." I thank Sam for this wonderful manufacturer sample.

Captain strikes again!
I have been using the Nebula beard oil for some time now and am currently on my third bottle. Therefore, I was all the more excited about the perfume - which has finally hit the market, albeit with a significant delay from the beard oil release.

Fortunately, my trusted barber recently set aside his last bottle for me (as the scent had already sold out in his shop within a few days) and I have been able to test the fragrance for a few weeks now. I must highlight the truly great packaging and the bottle (a feast for the eyes!) + the goodies included in the first limited batch (1000 pieces) of the release. We also receive a very stylish, high-quality Captain Fawcett pin made of stainless steel, as well as a guitar pick from John Petrucci as an extra. Additionally, there is a John Petrucci autograph on a nice certificate, all of which are numbered - so one can assume that this is indeed a limited edition.

The perfume smells, like the beard oil, definitely of warm, fresh, sweet popcorn - with a hint of coffee, a bit of chocolate, and rice cake, as well as a very gentle lavender note, but not at all in the fougere direction, rather JPG Le Male. The main difference between the beard oil and the perfume is that the perfume brings a very nice, powdery clean freshness into the top note. Similar to L'Homme by Prada, like freshly washed laundry. In my opinion, this combination is excellently done and makes the scent very wearable for all seasons and occasions.

By the way, the perfume easily lasts 8-10 hours and is definitely noticeable. Due to the powdery freshness kick in the top note, it is absolutely not "heavy," making it great for the office as well. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio is already outrageously good and it's a truly excellent release.

Important: Contrary to the description, I do not assume that production is being or will be discontinued. I would know this from my barber, who is good friends with Richie Finney, the founder of the Captain Fawcett brand. Only the limited edition (the first 1000 bottles) with the accompanying extras will not be produced again in this form. The scent should be available again in a few weeks, just without the goodies, autograph, certificate, etc.

It's good!
Good balance of fresh notes and powder.
Successful combo of "Well-groomed" and "Elegant".
Not a rockstar, more of a gentleman.

The opening is similar to Prada L'Homme, while the dry down is actually Alexandria II. If you like powdery scents, you get a lot for a fair price here.

A perfume that makes me feel like I smell good rather than just wearing a nice fragrance.

A slightly spicier Le Male with a similarly sweet base, but fresher and beautifully intertwined. The performance isn't that impressive.

Nebula features iris like Prada L’Homme, but feels cooler and less sweet than Luna Rossa Sport - plus a citrusy opening and a woodier progression.
