Wood on the island beach

The fragrance begins with woody and citrusy notes, which later become a little floral but remain clearly citrusy with a hint of balsam. There is also a slight, almost unnoticeable hint of powderiness. The accompanying sweetness is slight and, in combination with the citrus notes, exudes a fragrance combination that I find less appealing. If the dominance of the citrus notes had been somewhat reduced or omitted or perhaps combined with other notes in a different combination, this might have done the perfume some good, but then of course it would no longer be Bois Des Iles. As the fragrance evaporates quite quickly, the base is also kept relatively short and the sour smell, which I find annoying, dissipates somewhat. Over the course of time, I sprayed it on again and again and tried to "smell it nice". However, the fact that it's a Chanel makes me take it easy. But in the end, it remains a slightly sweet and sour sandalwood scent.
